Bricks and Bombs May Break the Apartment.

Tintin POV:

We didn't talk throughout dinner, afraid the owner might hear us and just focused on eating.

Finishing my water, I wiped my mouth clean and looked over at Malory, who seemed to be about finishing her meal too.

...

How would she have reacted if I didn't deny it being a date? Would she have gone along with it or would she have denied it herself?

I looked down at my lap as the thoughts continued.

We've known each other for almost 6 months... seemed like just yesterday she convinced me to buy the Unicorn ship model just for fun and led me to my first adventure with companions who weren't Snowy... Seemed like yesterday she threw all her glorified future just so she could keep it up and join me on more adventures, making each of them even better just by her being there with me.

Which made it feel like it's been forever.

I've never imagined how far we'd go together, how strong our friendship will become... How deep my feelings for her will grow...

I just love her so much! I just... I love you, Malory, and I wish you'd have known it and feel the same and be with me.

"Ma-" I started to speak up but our attention went to the owner, who walked towards us with a little plate and a folded note on it.

"'Danger awaits they, who pokes their noses into other people's business'" Malory gaped in shock as I read the letter while the owner looked very satisfied with himself.

"What does this mean?" I frowned at him.

"It's just a provel. Old Syldavian custom." He shrugged innocently while Malory glared at him before looking down into her lap and I managed to hear her mumbling, "Some humor you got there at Syldavia..." before grabbing her glass of water.

I didn't like this probable threat either but I knew this is a fight I shouldn't be picking so I simply reached for my inner pocket and paid for the meal.

"You enjoy your meal? Shlotzek is my specialty! It is the leg of a young dog." Malory chocked on the last gulp of water she took.

"DOG?!" I exclaimed.

Malory POV:

"Snowy..." Both of us looked around frantically before Tintin looked under the table, "Snowy?!"

Just then, I looked down to my left to see Snowy trotting towards us while licking his lips.

Tintin, who saw him from his spot under the table rose up and glared at the owner.

"Let's go, guys." Tintin told us and we rose up.

"That will teach them." I could hear the owner laughing to himself as we walked away.

"I'll set this place on fire." I grumbled as we exited.

"It's not worth it, Malory." Tintin reassured to which I hummed.

"You're right, I got my revenge on him anyway." I shrugged.

"What? What did you do?" He immediately questioned and all I did was glance back at the restaurant just as a deranged scream came out of it and looked back to see Tintin looking at it as well before looking at me questionably.

"I guess Snowy was hungry too and he helped himself. Sure, we should've probably order something for him too but for all I know Snowy is hungry and hasn't eaten anything." I didn't finish my rumbling as I started walking away and Tintin reluctantly joined me.
