The Curse of Rascar Capac Strikes again.
No One POV:
By the next morning, Tintin, Malory and Snowy were back in their apartment, having breakfast. Snowy was eating his food calmly, unaware of the tension in the house as the radio's announcer spoke:
"More on the disappeareance of the renowned scientist Professor Calculus. The police have identified the car used by the kidnappers as a large beige coloured Sedan and the occupants are believed to be of South American origin."
Frowning, Tintin reached for his coffee and slowly drank up while Malory rested her against his shoulder, despite Tintin's attempts, she couldn't sleep well last night, fearing her professor and expecting to hear news of his whereabouts at any given minute. Tintin slightly turned his head to look at her and wrapped his hand around her, rubbing her arm and resulting in her smiling a bit and leaning more against him as she felt her concerns being brushed away by his rubs.
"The kidnapping of Professor Calculus is believed to be connected with the mysterious case of the Sanders-Hardiman expedition. And the subsequent misfortunes that have affected all members of that expedition."
Suddenly, the phone rang, gaining the attention of the couple. Tintin set down his cup and went to turn off the radio while Malory reached the phone and picked up, a bit hopeful.
"Hello?" She asked, hoping she doesn't sound too desprate.
"Hello, Malory. Thomson, here." The voice identified.
"Hello, Thomson." She replied a bit confused, Tintin joined her side and they switched looks. They didn't know the detectives were brought in on Calculus' disappearance.
Soon, it turned out they didn't.
"I say there's something very unusual going on at the hospital where the seven explorers are. I think you'd better slip around here and have a look." He told the confused duo.
More problems with the explorers? What could've happen?
Malory POV:
Soon enough, Tintin and I made it to the hospital like the detectives advised and we met with the doctor in charge of the seven cases.
"We thought you should know that Professor Tarragon's fit was not an isolated case." He told us as we walked down the hall.
"What?" I asked in disbelief.
"You mean all the explorers are doing the same thing?" Tintin emphasized.
"Yes, at the exactly the same time every day. We don't understand it." The doctor replied with a slight shrug.
No One POV:
"Nothing was said about it on the news. How come you only reveal this now?" Malory inquired but not an ounce of accusation was heard in her voice.
"It didn't happen until the moment I was told Tarragon started his own fits at his home." The doctor replied.
"So you mean it only started once all the seven went into their comas?" Malory emphasized.
"Indeed."
"That is strange." Tintin agreed.
Inside the room where the seven explorers lay, Mrs. Clarkson was seated by her husband, crying unstoppabley, when a nurse approached her and shook her head, pointing at her wrist watch and gesturing at the door that it was time to leave.
She nodded and rose up.
Mr. Clarkson, as if feeling his wife leaving him and taking it a bad omen as to what's about to happen, gasped and panted in pain. His skin held a sickly green hue and his state made his wife cry a bit more as she held his hand with both of hers before picking her stuff and leaving, wiping her tears all the way to the door.
