Sickness? What a load of Guano!
No One POV:
A late noon hour was when the trio and Snowy found themselves walking down the streets of Peru.
"Just think: tomorrow we'll see old Cuthbert again." Captain smiled with new wind in his sails.
"Oh, I'm thinking about it alright!" Malory nodded, just as happy. But her boyfriend on the other hand, not so much.
"Uhmm... Yes." He let out, deep in thoughts, and that didn't go unnoticed by his girlfriend and friend.
"Why so glum? Things are looking up." Captain said.
"I guess so. But I can't help feeling we're being watched." Tintin explained, looking around.
"Well, we do stick out like a sore thumb..." Malory pointed out, guessing that not only was her boyfriend not an optimist but also assuming that the locals don't get many tourists here.
"Aaaaah, enjoy yourself. Look around you!" Captain brushed him off, gesturing at the town, as if it wasn't what the couple was doing during the entire walk, "Amazing! Look at that!"
Snowy was so invested in the scenery that he didn't notice where he was going, which resulted in him bumping into... are those legs?
He looked up and the animal he collided with looked down at him unimpressed, making him whimper and retreat towards his friends without taking his eyes off of the strange animal.
"Look: a llama!" Tintin and Malory stopped, watching the Captain approaching the local resident as he started cooing at it while patting its' snout, much to the owner's concern.
"Be careful, Señor..." He warned.
"Why? Such a nice llama." Captain smiled before running a finger under it's chin and cooing a little stronger until-
'SPLOOSH!'
Captain screamed and backed away in surprise as the 100 mile per hour spit hit him in the face like a cannonball, sending his hat flying.
"Thundering Typhoons." Captain let out in shock as Tintin hurried to hold him back from unleashing his wrath on the llama, much to everyone's amusement.
The owner muffled his giggles with his fist.
Tintin chuckled into his hand.
The locals and Malory were straight up laughing, Malory particularly almost rolling on the floor as she held her stomach as the thought of feeling ashamed at laughing like that didn't manage to intrude her mind.
The only one was just as unimpressed as the Captain was Snowy, who watched the animal in distaste and it was hard to tell which one of the two was growling.
"Come on, Captain. It's time to get back to the hotel." Tintin said calmly, not letting go of his arm even as he bent to pick up his hat, still glaring at the llama. Tintin turned to look at his girlfriend with a playful scolding look, "Let's go, Malory."
Not only was his look not threatening at all to her, Malory found herself still laughing as the owners nonchalantly and just as playfully remarked: "When llama angry, Señor, he always do that."
"Filthy animal!!! Blistering barnacles or a brute!! Those things shouldn't be allowed." Captain cursed, waving an angry fist as they turned the corner and earning a few last laughs from Malory, who started calming down and just looking at her boyfriend and friend's frowns with an amused little smile.
Unknowingly to them, a familiar Peruvian, who up until now stood on the edge of the sidewalk, slowly turned to look at them once they passed him and hurried to the new corner they passed to see them entering their hotel.
