Ramses the II.

Malory POV:

I smiled to myself as I flew the plane in an ocean of white clouds and blue sky. It was the middle of the morning and we were doing great on getting to India.

Speaking of which...

"There it is, boys. The coast if India!" I announced proudly as I looked down to see the line where the ocean met the eastern grounds.

"Great job, Malory!" Tintin complimented as I started lowering the plane.

When suddenly-

'BOOM! SQUEEK! QUIRCK!'

My heart stopped when I looked forward to see the propeller starting to slow down as smoke came out of the engine.

I looked at the watches on the control panel and tapped on the one that showed how much gas we've left.

Or at least was SUPPOSED to!

"Oh no! It's broken!" I exclaimed when the dial, that showed we have some gas left, dropped down to zero, "We're out of gas!"

The plane started to go down and I hurried to flick a switch that I knew, can help us.

For a second there, it worked and the plane returned to a straight line before the engine exploded again and the propeller stopped working completely.

"I hate deja vues..." I said, death glaring at nothing in particular before the plane took a one way route towards the ground, face first.

No One POV:

The plane came down faster and faster and entered the forest. One of the wings bumped into a tree, breaking it to two and sending hundreds of birds flying in terror.

Snowy, luckily unharmed, looked up from where he was standing and barked non stop at the tree that the plane crushed on and where his friends were, who were holding on to the broken wing's joints, asking them to come down and stop playing already.

"Okay, okay, we're coming!" Tintin called back as he looked down at Snowy for a second.

"Oh wait, Tintin! Don't let go just ye-" Malory started to warn him but he let go, shouting in surprise while Snowy ran off to get out of danger and Malory watched him with wide eyes as he landed a lower tree's top before falling from it too and grabbing onto a grape leaf, trying to swing himself to safety but it got torn and he ended up falling with it and landing with an 'Oof!'.

Malory squinted her eyes shut for a moment at the impact before opening them and looking down at her friend, who ended up in a bush, in concern.

"Tintin?" She called out, worried and he groaned in response.

She sighed in relief with eyes closed as she felt for her heart with one hand but quickly put it back where it was and calming herself down.

"Okay Malory, just like the good times..." She chanted to herself as she looked around and spotted another grape leaf before leaving the plane too and grabbing it, swinging herself like she was on a see-saw.

She smiled in victory but then froze when she saw she was going to bump into a tree. Not able to stop herself, she DID end up doing just that, chest first and letting out an 'Oof!' as well before slowly sliding down with no control and ending up on Tintin.

She rose up and looked around in confusion, realizing where she was.

"Ah! At least the landing was soft. Thanks Tintin!" She thanked with a smile but before Tintin could reply, something landed on his head and then something else on her, making the both of them groan before catching the items in their hands.

A medical instruction book and a first-aid kit...

"Now that's ironic..." Malory mumbled before looking over to where Snowy was, whimpering softly as he got out of his hideout.

"We're alright, Snowy." She reassured as she patted his head softly while Tintin got up.

"Come on, Malory, let's find the road to Gaipajama!" He said, helping her up before they started walking into the woods, leaving the scene.

Malory POV:

Tintin and I frowned as we pushed more bushes out of our way before gaping in surprise at the sight in front of us; A tree with THE symbol painted on it.

"The Pharaoh's emblem!" Tintin said in disbelief as I walked towards the tree, putting three fingers on the symbol and examining it.

"It's wet." I let Tintin know as I looked at the black color that came off the emblem and ended up on my fingers.

Snowy barked and we turned to see him barking at another tree with another emblem and we looked around when we realized there were a lot of these around!

"Whoever did this is still around..." Tintin stated as he rubbed his chin in thought.

"And does NOT care for the environment. Seriously! This paint could be toxic for plants!" I said as I rubbed my stained finger on my pants in disgust.

No One POV:

Not too far from there, another tree was getting the same treatment as the painter was humming a well known Egyptian tune.

(A/N: If anyone knows the name of this tune, PLEASE let me know).

Tintin, Malory and Snowy, who were following the trail of distraction, peeked out from a bush behind the man and couldn't believe their eyes.

"Dr. Sarcophagus?" Tintin asked in disbelief as they got out and made their way towards the man.

"I'm afraid you made a mistake, young man!" Dr. Sarcophagus replied as he turned to look at them and pointed his paintbrush at Tintin, making him jerk back a little.

"My name isn't Sarcophagus." The doctor said as he moved his paintbrush around but still in Tintin's face before throwing his hands in the air.

"I'm Pharaoh Ramses the 2nd! RULER OF ALL THE NILE!" He announced in pride before singing the tune again and moving like a hieroglyph.

Tintin, Malory and Snowy tilted their heads as they watched him, dumbfounded, disappearing behind the trees, still dancing.

"He's completely mad!" Tintin said in awe.

"And more than usual!" Malory added as they hurried to catch up with him.

Not knowing that someone was watching them from behind the bushes...

Malory POV:

Dr. Sarcophagus kept singing his tune and drawing on the trees while Tintin and I looked around in thoughts.

"Now, what have you done with your pants?" Tintin wondered as we looked at him again but my attention was caught by something sticking from his neck; A little arrow.

I frowned and grabbed a hold on its' end, pulling it out and making the doctor scream in pain before turning to look at me a little angrily and just scolding me with: "That hurt!"

I handed Tintin the arrow and he smelled its' tip and frowning as he stated: "Poison."

"Ooo! That's pretty!" Dr. Sarcophagus suddenly exclaimed as he spotted a butterfly, flying above us and he started skipping after it, "Here! Kitty-kitty-kitty!"

"Uh, I feel like I'm watching over my siblings again." I sighed as I watched him go.

"We better get him to a doctor before he hurts himself." Tintin said, frowning in concern as he joined my side.

"Or another tree, or that poor butterfly..." I started rumbling and followed him, Tintin stopping for a second to pick up his hat.

No One POV:

Just as Tintin knelt down to pick the hat, another arrow flew above his head, missing him and ending up being stabbed in the tree, right in the middle of the symbol.

Tintin, not noticing that, got back up and hurried to follow Malory.
