(A/n: So before we jump right in, I'd like to mention that this is going to be an original story that I wrote and I did my best so please let me know what you think about every chapter. The cast is looking like the movie again, NOT the cartoon, and let's make it clear: Everyone here, aside from Malory, AREN'T MINE! Enjoy!).

Getting ready.

Malory POV:

"Okay Captain, and did you make sure that the cake will be ready?" I asked as my shoulder supported the phone against my ear.

"Yes Lassie, I did, please stop worrying so much, the Lad will love it!" Captain reassured me, the smile being clear in his voice, making me sigh.

"I wish I didn't, but you try to handle a secret surprise party for someone like him! You know how Tintin can get when you try to hide something from him, especially now that he doesn't stop clinging around me to make sure I'm not over working my shoulder." I told him as I returned to holding the phone.

"You sound like you're having fun with it." Captain pointed out.

"Who said I wasn't?" I asked, smiling. I DID enjoy all the attention he gave me.

Captain chuckled.

"Alright Lass, I'll go see how's Nestor doing with the rest of the food, anything else you'd like to know?" He asked.

"Um yes, one more thing; How's Professor Calculus doing with the gift? Is he close to finish it anytime soon?" I asked.

"Oh I almost forgot that! He asked me to tell you that he finished it, want us to keep it for you until the party?" He suggested.

"No no, it's alright Captain, I'll drop by Marlinspike Hall tomorrow afternoon and take it, okay?" I asked, I'd prefer having this where it can be safe from any explosions.

"Is Malory coming to visit?" The Professor's voice was heard from the other line, making me realize that he was next to Captain, which made me smile.

"No Professor, she said she's going to come and take the present!" Captain said louder for the heavy hearing Professor.

"She's absent? Oh that's terrible, Tintin must be really worried!" I chuckled softly.

"No Professor, I'm right here!" I shouted loud enough, hoping he hears me.

"Oh Malory, it's good to see you were found. I've finished making the device you wanted me to do, it really is quite a marvelous idea for a gift!" Professor Calculus complimented me, which made me chuckle.

"I've learned from the best." I complimented my once teacher back.

"Quite not, don't worry, my lab has not become a mess, I didn't need much to create it." He reassured me again which made me shake my head in laughter before hearing footsteps out of the apartment and I recognized them as Tintin's and Snowy's, coming back from the grocery.

"Alright, I'll see you two on Tuesday." I promised quickly, ready to hang up.

"You're coming to take the present today? Oh, that's fantastic! I'll go get it ready for you." Professor Calculus cheered and I heard him walking off.

"No Professor! She said she'll come tomo- Oh never mind." Captain grumbled and gave up, which me chuckle again.

"It's alright, Captain, I need to buy the decorations today so I'll come over to bring them today so Tintin wouldn't find them by any chance and get suspicious." I said, deciding it wouldn't be nice from me to let the Professor take care of the present so much for me and I wouldn't even bother to take it when he's excited to hand it over.
