An Enchanting Surprise.
No One POV:
The first time Tintin and Malory met was quite surprising.
Then again, when you're a wizard, learning at a magical school, surprising, surprsingly, becomes not surprising.
It was Tintin's seventh year as a Griffindor at Hogwarts. The last year.
He was quite satisfied with what he's achieved! He was a bit surprised with the last four years thanks to the 'Golden Trio', but for that you have the 'surprising speech' from a few lines ago.
And in all honesty, he was thankful for those last four years. In some odd way, it brought him the clarity he needed to what he wanted to do in life.
The trio's adevntures made him want to have his own adventures.
It took a while (And starting a newspapers' club with Colin Creevey as the vice-president), but he finally managed to capture the Daily Prophet's interest in him.
And finally, the day before he got on the train back to his 7th year, he recieved a letter from them, promising that if by the end of this year he'll turn in something good, he'll have a place with them.
And seeing how according to some rumours, one of the greatest events in Hogwarts' history was making a comeback, making it a wonderful chance to shine, this plus his six years at Hogwarts made him satisfied with his currant point in life.
. . .But, sitting in the train on the way to Hogwarts, he started looking back, which was surprising by itself since he wasn't the person to reflect and question his decisions, he did find himself dwelling over one decision.
Looking back now, he wish he tried to make more friends.
He wasn't anti-social, per se. In face those who know him well, like Colin, knew him to be a very kind and courageous person, if him being in Griffindor wasn't a proof enough.
It's just that he was always in his own little bubble. Life in Hogwarts just kind of passed by for him, like the rest of life usually did. Even when the Golden Trio's shananigans occured, he kept to himself, he didn't think of it much. He had Snowy and the Captain, who depite being mostly drunk, gave him a warm place to call home and come back to at the end of each year.
Oh, his parents were around! Just in a very FAR around, all the way back at Belgium. But they insisted on him studying at Hogwarts and Captain was welcoming, so here he was.
He considered Captain a friend but still in his heart, he wanted someone closer to his age.
He had the newspapers' club, which he was president of since he founded it, but again, it was only a means to arrange his future.
Oliver Wood asked him once if he'd like to join the Quidditch team, the same year Harry Potter joined in as the Seeker, but Tintin declined it. Mostly because he knew he wasn't the best with brooms or any flying transportation for that matter, but all in all it's because he looked at it the wrong way; He didn't see it as something that will get him further in life when actually he should've looked at this as a way to find friends.
So to sum it all up, even with Snowy, Tintin felt quite lonely, without even realizing it.
And even if the summary was already here, Tintin still thought about it all the way to Hogwarts, through the sorting ceremony and up to when Professor Dumbledore confirmed the rumors about the infamous Triwizard Tournament coming back.
Tintin knew all about it, he was an A student in Hogwarts history alongside Hermione Granger. And he knew all about the unfortunate things that happened at these games.
He had intention whatsoever to try and get into the tournament! He already had a mission; He was going to handover to the Daily Prophet a full on review about the Triwizard Tournament from his point of view as a student.
"-But more of that later! For now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Acadamy of Magic! And their headmistress, Madam Jackline!" Tintin's attention finally came back just as the doors to the Great Hall opened, revealing a group of ladies in blut satin uniforms.
Everyone was in awe at the preformance the girls did so it was only Tintin who spotted something else.
While Madam Jackline waltzed in, another Beauxbatons girl was making her way to the High Table in the sidelines by going through the little path between the wall and Griffindor's table.
When she noticed Tintin was looking at her, she was surprised and came to a halt, remembering how Madam Jackline allowed her to enter in such a way since she believed no one was going to notice her doing that anyway and knew better than letting her be part of her grand entrance.
Nevertheless, she soon stopped gaping and gawking at him with her light green eyes (Which Tintin had to admit, complimented her light brown hair), and gave him a sly smile with a wink before continuing her journey, Tintin's head turning to follow her in enchantment, as if she was part of the routine.
Luckily for her, it seemed that in the end, no one else had noticed her coming in and she was now standing with the rest of her school mates while the school clapped for them.
Dumbledore soon got control over the school again and continued;
"And now our friends from the north! Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang! And their highmaster, Ivan Sakharine!"
Tintin's attention finally went to where it should, as he looked away from the girl and now watched the routine of Durmstrang, which was impressive with their maces hitting the floor in a tribnal beat.
But everyone were even more impressed and happy when they saw Bulgaria's Quidditch team's Seeker, Victor Krum, walking alongside his highmaster.
Everyone except-
"Shame about the floor, though." Everything fell silent and all heads snapped to look at the speaker.
Tintin was shocked, as for the second time in a row, that Beauxbatons girl took his attention away.
"I mean, look at this! They made humps in it." She emphasised with hands crossed over her chest and she scanned the hall with a glint in her eyes, Tintin noticed, that stayed there since she smiled at him.
And speaking of that, her eyes seemed to have found what they wanted, his own.
And once they did, she smiled wider and pulled her palm from under her other arm, giving him a quick wave before tucking it back in its' place.
And once more, He seemed to be the only one to notice her being nudged slightly by her nearby schoolmate.
The rest of the hall was busy looking at him, who felt the blush rising to his cheeks furiously.
Because of the attention? Because of her? Didn't know and frankly, didn't care...
For the most part...
(Heya guys! How was that? I hope you like it, please leave a comment and tell me what do you think, love ya!)
