Royal Rascal

No One POV:

It was now a little later in the day after Tintin and Malory got the pardon for their friends and they were still at the castle under the Emir's request, asking them to finish unfolding the events that brought thme to Wadesdah.

"This is fascinating! Do go on with your story. So you had just recognized Dr. Müller and then what happened?" He asked them, eager to hear the rest.

Malory, who found it quite enjoyable telling someone about an adventure they have in person and also enjoyed hearing Tintin telling it herself, looked at her lover in anticipation to continue.

"Well, we were sneaking up from behind him when-"

"Master!" A cry from the entrance on the garden cut off the conversation, making them turn to see a servant approaching, looking quite worried.

"Master, your son! He is missing." He informed the Emir. Malory frowned in concern, getting ready to console the poor father who started laughing?

Tintin looked over at the ruler, Malory was already staring at man, blinking dumbfoundedly and even Snowy found himself inspecting the man curiously.

He soon stopped laughing once seeing their expressions.

"Oh. You must think me mad." He said still with a smile on his face as Malory was wondering what sort of punishment do they have in Wadesdah for people who call child services upon the Emir and whether it was worth it. But the Emir's next words eased up her concern a little, "But you see: My son, Prince Abdullah, loves to play little jokes. The adorable rascal."

The couple switched a little look.

"Come. We shall go play hide and seek with him." He asked them, rising from his seat and the two soon followed. Malory calling for Snowy along the way.

Malory POV:

"Abdullah, where are you, my little prince?" The Emir called out casually while the servants searched in the bushes not so casually, "The precious little prankster. He's always putting us on."

"That well?" I wondered out loud. Snowy was sniffing the ground frantically.

"Abdullah! Come out, come out wherever you are!" The Emir called again when Snowy suddenly barked to us from a spot by the wall.

Humming, Tintin approached with me following suit, watching him crouching down and picking up a blue torn cloth.

I inspected the wall where a bunch of seemingly new marks were decorating it when Snowy barked for my attention which I soon understood why and motioned Tintin to look as well.

"Uh-oh." Tintin let out as we looked at the messy footprints scattered around a small area. All not sharing one direction and all seem to run over the other. It all meant one thing.

"Abdullah is becoming a master of the hide and seek game." The Emir pointed out, looking a bit displeased with his fail of finding the little tyke.

"Well he did have help." I pointed out, trying to soften the ground.

"I don't think is a game, your Highness..." Tintin pointed out softly as well, sensing the need to bring it forth gently.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Was the Prince wearing a blue robe?" Tintin inquired, pointing slightly at the cloth in his hand.

"Of course not. My family only wears robes of black." Despite us already knowing, hearing the Emir approving our suspicions made out hearts sink.
