V.I.L...

No One POV:

Morning came and the ship was now tearing through icy water. The Aurora has finally reached the Atlantic Ocean and everyone felt it.

Tintin opened up the door and yawned while stretching before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Despite the sky being a bit gray, it was still a beautiful morning and luckily enough, the blue sweater he put overnight warmed him up well enough to at least be able to get some breakfast.

But as he stepped over the door frame, the now slightly ice covered floor was slippery and he yelled in surpirse and flailed around while trying to stabalize himself before slamming against one of the chimneys.

"Good morning, Tintin!" Professor Phostle, who watched the scene, greeted from where he was leaning against the ship's railing, dressed in a fur coat already, "Don't you just hate this- AAHH!"

The moment he turned around a bit and slightly let go of the railing, he ended up slipping and dropping on the floor, before looking at Tintin, who ended up slipping down as well but still holding on, and finished the quiestion, "Ice?"

"Make way!" The two turned to look and see Malory slipping forward, and being Malory, her slipping was way more endangering to her and others, as Tintin found out when he stood up and tried to simply grab her and stop her only for her to slam into him and send them both to the floor again.

"Ow..." They both groaned, "Sorry Tintin, thanks!"

"You're welcome..." He replied as they lifted their heads and looked up at eachother, and for the first time since Syldavia, smiled at eachother warmly while doing so. But as usual, it got caught off when they saw Snowy slipping too and Malory managed to grab his tail when he passed them and stop him.

While this was going on, Captain was grumbling to himself, still navigating the ship and upset about last night's events to notice the sweet exchange between his young friends.

"Those maggot-eating Grubs! Trying to sink my ship! Wait 'till I'll get my hands on them!" Was what he said when Tintin, Malory and Snowy joined him, now dressed properly in warm fur coats.

Tintin put Snowy down but the poor white dog still ended up slipping in his fur shoes, which made him whimper.

"Aw, sorry Snowy, but you might get your paws injured otherwise." Malory apologized and picked him up again.

"Blistering Typhoons!" Captain added as they joined his side when the man from the Crow-Nest yelled out;

"Ahoy Captain! Ship sighted off the port side!" He yelled down and pointed at the direction.

And sure enough, a black spot in the horizon was spotted, erupting a trail of gray smoke.

"It's the Perry..." Captain said, moving the binoculars away.

"They're going to beat us to the meteorite!" Tintin said while doing the same and letting Malory see.

"Not likely! The Aurora's got a fine, strong engine!" Captain said detemindely before moving the speedometer around and promising, "We'll overtake them this afternoon!"

Malory couldn't help but feel sorry for the engine room's workers by that point.

The ship started speeding forth when the man from the radio room came with a paper in his hands again.

"Captain! We have an emergancy!" He said urgently, handing over the paper. Captain read through it and his eyes widened.

"What?" He gasped.

Malory POV:

In a matter of few minutes, all the expedition team were gathered in the dining hall.

"I called this meeting, Gentlemen, becasue at approximately zero 800 hours, the Aurora recieved an S.O.S signal!" Captain explain, showing the paper to everyone, "If we move to answer the distress call, the Perry will beat us to the meteroite."
