Captain POV:

How do you move on?

That's all that ran through my mind while staring at my little Lass, still on the spot we set ourselves on.

She didn't try to jump anymore. Only stared down and sat on her knees.

She didn't cry anymore, I don't think she had anymore tears left in her. She didn't move, I don't think she had anymore strength. I don't think she even breathed.

She just sat there, unable to move...

And I'm asking again, how do you move on? How do you help your little Lassie after losing the love of her life to such an accident?

How do you yourself move from losing your Lad?

While Malory didn't cry, Zorrino did plenty, hiding his face in my knee as I rubbed his back, unable to look away from Malory as I was scared of her trying to go at it again all of the sudden.

"Captain... Tintin not dead... Is he, Captain?" Zorrino looked up at me hopefully through his tears, "He must live... He need to be with Malory."

Oh, how right he was! But it's not like Tintin had a say in that matter...

"My poor Zorrino, Tintin is gone. We'll never see him again..." I said, rubbing my stuffed nose away, "Ever..."

A part of me regretted speaking loud enough for Malory to hear but that's what the Lass needed to hear!

Her shoulders tensed and after a few moments they relaxe and a few more later she stood up, making us watch her carefully as she finally turned to face us; Her eyes were puffy and red, tears still leaked out from them and she tried to run them away, her clothes and hair were stained with droplets from the waterfall and her trousers were wet at the area of her knees where she was settled on until now.

Taking a shattered breath, she approached us.

"Zorrino, take us back to Jauga."

"Lass...?" I called in confusion. What was she doing?

"First Professor Calculus and now Tintin. I can't do this! I can't take anymore of this, I can't afford to lose more people I love." Her voice cracked and I sensed fresh wave of tears threatning to spill which was probably why she stopped talking all at once and looked away from us, fist laying slightly against her lips.

"I can't do this without him..."

Frowning, I rose up and embraced her, pulling her close to me yet again.

"Lass..."

"Hey! Malory! Captain! Zorrino!"

Malory POV:

All at once, my heart stopped before soaring, my mouth went into a gape and my eyes widened, looking around and not believing what I was hearing.

"What? That voice! I must be dreaming. It can't be." Captain said, smacking his ear as if trying to push water from his ears. But there was no mistaking with echoy voice and the barks that came after it.

"Either that, or he came back to hunt us as a ghost!" I joked with a trembeling voice as a smile started making it my face and I looked back at the waterfall, "Tintin, I'm truly sorry, I didn't know that cookies were yours!"

"I knew it!" He cried back in victory and hearing the sound of his voice again almost made me burst in tears again, only of happiness.

Zorrino and I raced down to the end of the waterfall with Captain behind us.

"Captain! I'm behind the waterfall! Throw me a rope!" Tintin called to us again.

"Hang on, Tintin!" Captain called back, grabbing a big stone and wrapping the end of whatever's left from our rope around, "Here it comes!"
