Stormy, Screechy Night.

No One POV:

"Snowy!" At the sound of Tintin calling him, Snowy peeked out of the bush he found his bone in and looked over at the trail to see his owners and their friend approaching, "Snowy!"

He barked in response and hurried towards them.

"There you are!" Malory said happily.

"Oh, Snowy! Would you let go of that?" Tintin asked as he struggled with their growling four legged friend to take the bone. Tintin really didn't like it when Snowy brought dirty bones home.

Malory on the other hand, was always wondering where all these rather big bones were coming from.

Finally getting the bone, Tintin threw it over the Marlinspike Hall's stone wall by the trail.

The man behind it was lucky that it just missed him but he didn't feel that lucky, considering the unexpected company he suddenly had which forced him to stay quiet and hope the dog he was hearing will stay away.

Just in case, he readied his gun.

Whether it was the bone or perhaps him hearing the sound of the click, Snowy decided to reach that spot while his two legged companions resumed their stroll.

"Take a whiff of that fine fresh air." Captain sighed as they passed the entrance to Marlinspike's grounds while Snowy ran in.

Malory looked up at the tree and saw a small robin bird cheerping on a twig, making her smile as Captain continued, "Such peace! I'm a country man from now on. I've had enough of careering around the world!"

So it turns out Snowy was after the bone, since he was busy whiffing around and didn't seem to notice the man, who raised his gun.

"Do you really prefer this to a stiff sea breeze?" Tintin teased.

"Absolutely! Nothing like a walk to put you to rights!" At that, Malory's eyes widened.

"I did not just hear that! Who are you and what have you done to Captain Archibald Haddock?" She dramatically asked, making a motion like she was stepping away from him before walking normally yet again.

"Very funny, Lass." Captain chuckled, giving a her a glance before looking ahead again, "A pity Cuthbert couldn't come with us."

"Yes! I wonder what Professor Calculus is brewing up for this time. He hasn't emerged from his lab for three months." Tintin recalled, looking at Malory who shrugged in response.

"I'll admit it's odd. I've been bringing him his meals over for the last few days but he wouldn't let me in, nor would he answer my questions and his terrible hearing doesn't help. Either he avoids me or he really is that busy."

"Do you think it might be something dangerous?" Tintin asked.

"Oh, I really hope not!" Malory said seriously, looking at her partner, "I don't want another explosion to finish what the one at the High-Class started!"

She shivered at the memory of the door's chips flying her way without a warning.

The trio stopped at the sight of clouds and sound of rumbling thunder approaching them.

"I think we'd better get back to Marlinspike. And fast!" Tintin declared and the trio hurried to back up, "Now where's Snowy gone?"

The group finally realized that Snowy has disappeared yet again. He was still sniffling and getting closer to the bush...

The rain started but the young couple refused to get to a shelter until their dog was with them.

"Snowy! Snowy!" Tintin and Malory called out and he hurried towards them. By that point, lightning started striking and the trio were soaking wet, with Tintin's tuft sticking to his forehead and Malory's stray bangs getting in her eyes.
