Zorrino

Malory POV:

With the first break of dawn, Tintin, Captain, Snowy and I were already by the Bridge of the Inca, armed with rifles and ready for any chance of ambush.

"So where is this guide of yours?" Captain asked as we looked around as well, wondering where they might come from.

That's when a familiar 'Pssst!' reached our ears twice from the little hut over the start of the bridge. We looked back at it to see a familiar face peeking at us.

"It's the little orange seller!" Tintin gasped in disbelief as we came out of our hiding place and approached him, "So it was you!"

"No make noise. If Indian see us, they kill us!" He told us in a slightly broken English as he looked around fearfully.

"You're in charge." I nodded in reassurance.

Seeming satisfied with that, he motioned us to come over and said, "You come now."

We crossed the bridge quickly and quietly and once at the other side, he ran off behind a few high rocks.

"You wait here!" He instructed us as he did.

"I don't like this." Captain stated as he looked back at the bridge as if expecting to see an ambush after all when little noises reached our ears and made us look back, "Thundering Typhoons!"

The kid came back guiding two llamas by their reins.

"Not another pair of perambulating fire pumps..." Captain grumbled again.

"Llamas very gentle, Señor. You not be afraid." The kid reassured Captain gently and my heart melted at that. He reminded me a bit of Chang! Except that he was probably a bit older, and Indian- Okay, so maybe not a lot like Chang but still, I liked him.

"Afraid? Me?" Captain remarked, getting closer to one of them which resulted in it biting down on his beard, thinking it was food and making Captain yelp in pain as he pulled back and held on to it, "You miserable iconocl-"

"Don't hit, Señor..." But despite the calm warning, Captain went in for the hit. The llama spat a storm in his face and blew his hat away in the process. I started shaking in a fit of giggles and laughs

"When llama angry..."

"I know... He always do that..." He finished the warning, glaring up at the animal and my giggles became stronger when he said, "Blistering barnacles!"

And unable to hold it in anymore, Tintin slammed his hand into his mouths and started giggling with me whie I started having tears at the corners of my eyes and felt pain in my ribs as I did my best not to roar out the laughter.

"You know, we don't even know your name." Tintin pointed out to the kid later in the day as we walked up a mountain.

"Zorrino, Señor." The kid introduced.

"Nice name! It's good to meet you, Zorrino! I'm Malory. This is my partner and boyfriend, Tintin. The llama's target practice is Captain Haddock, but you can call him Captain, and the little dog is Snowy." I introduced.

"Hey!" Captain cried from the back, making me turn to look at him.

"Sorry Captain, couldn't resist." I apologized but still smiled, especially since Zorrino laughed a little at my remark.

"It's nice to meet you all, too. And thank you for helping me, Señor Tintin and Señora Malory. You were really kind."

"Malory is enough and you're very much welcome. And thank you for helping us! You're one of a kind." I told him greatfully and Tintin nodded in agreement.
