Bring a Bug Spray into a Gun Fight
No One POV:
A few days later, the group of heroes were finally leaving the hospital.
"Blistering barnacles! I'm glad to be out of there. The food was terrible!" Captain stated as they all walked down the street.
"Oh, that reminds me I wanted to pick up some postcards." The professor suddenly remembered and started walking towards the shop across the street.
"Okay, but don't be too long." Tintin said, checking his watch.
"Yes, of course you can come along." Professor Calculus replied kindly, not even looking back at them.
"No, no! Our plane leaves at noon!" Captain called after him, tapping his own watch.
"Okay, then. Wait there. I'll be back soon."
Captain rubbed his forehead. The young couple moved to his other side where Malory could sit on a fire hydrant while they waited. Out of all of them, she still hasn't made a full recovery.
"Ah! Just two more hours and we'll be on our way home. I can't wait for another nice and quiet walk in that countryside." Captain told the couple as Calculus entered the store, "It'll do good for your recovery, Malory."
"I'm sure it will, Captain." The brunette looked up from her lap to smile at him when an idea crossed her mind and she looked behind her to smirk at her boyfriend, "That is, if my beloved would even let me stand."
Tintin either was about to reply snarkly or in defense when something across the street caught his attention, making him look over and followed by Malory.
A bright pink car stopped by the shop Professor Calculus entered but no one came out of it.
"Why is that car just sitting there?" Tintin wondered, both he and Malory frowning.
The back window was rolled down just enough to reveal that the passenger had a bald head covered by a green hat. He raised a hand and threw out a cigarette stub. Malory snarled in disgust at the sight.
"Apperantly for littering." She commented. She actually prayed it was only for that.
But the car stayed still. The sight of a suspicious car with a suspicious man, who apperantely smoked, left the whole trio now at unease.
"Let's see what's taking the Professor so long." Tintin finally suggested, helping Malory stand up.
The group slowly approached the vehicle as if it was a resting predator, ready to attack at the slightest of movements. And just as Tintin set the edge of his shoe in front of the car, it roared back to life and took off and away.
Both Snowy and Captain barked after the car.
"Thundering Blistering Bazookas!"
Tintin let Malory lean against Captain as he knelt down and picked the cigarette thrown from the car to inspect it.
"The cigarette! It's the same kind the Bordurian agent smokes!" He told the others, catching Malory's eyes as the two frowned before realizing, "PROFESSOR!"
Running into the shop, the team only saw the suprised by the dramatic entrance cashier. No one else was in.
"He's gone!" Tintin mumbled.
"The back door!" Once pointing, Malory herself charged at it, "PROFESSOR!"
"My umbrella! My umbrella!" Professor Calculus cried in protest and tried to reach for the tossed item but Boris shoved him into the bright pink car. Stefan bought them some time, using a machine gun at the trio by the door, who jumped back in, screaming.
