Fast & Furious
No One's POV:
"They're going ashore!" Tintin yelled over the noise of the helicopter to Malory.
"So are we!" She stated but she didn't move the plane to land and instead flew the craft after the car they now drove. Though, she didn't take into account the local high things.
"MALORY!" Both Tintin and Captain cried and she averted her gaze from the car to see that they were going to crash into an electricity post! The boys screamed as by the nick of time, she moved the helicopter away and just grazed off the top of a tree.
"There they are!" Captain called after they got back to normal and quickly passed the car, landing the helicopter to block the road just a few yards away. By the time the car got close, the team already stood by their makeshift stop, waiting for them.
But bordurian agents have this tendency to speed their vehicles in attempts to run over pedastrians occasionaly. Occasions like this one and so screaming yet again, the small group jumped out of the way while the car swerved to the right, taking down part of the log fence as it soared ahead.
"MANIAC! ROADHOG!" Captain roared angrily after the car, waving his fists angrily as the others frowned and watched on.
A car honking behind them made them jump and look back.
"You crazy men! Why are you parking in middle of the road?" The italian accented driver rolled down his tinted window and glared at the strange group.
"I felt like it!" Malory shrugged, not able to bring herself to care much; Her teacher was in danger again, she was in pain, tired and definitely going through some new crisis.
"Please, this is an emergency! Our friend has been kidnapped!" Tintin explained.
The man looked at strange group, looked at their traffic offence and then back at them.
"Get in! We catch them." He pointed at the backseats over his shoulder and winked with a sly smile.
"Thank you, sir!" Tintin quickly said, full of gratitude while the man switch gears.
"You in?" He asked once the couple took seats in the back and Captain closed the front passenger's door by him.
"Let's go!" Captain rushed him.
And did he rush!!
Captain screamed in surprise as he flew out of his seat, it only got cut out when the air left his lungs from the sudden collision with Tintin's knees. His legs were still sprawled over the front seat. Malory gaped in awe.
"Blistering Barnacles!" Captain said.
"WOW!" Malory breathed out, smiling for the first time in a while and quickly hopped on to Captain's deserted seat, "I like your style!"
Malory POV:
Dawn started approaching but not as fast as the driver.
"Up ahead!" Tintin exclaimed and pointed forward where two cars drove a few meters before them, one of them being the kidnappers', attempting to cut the other vehicle.
"Va bene!" The driver reassured and once the kidnappers got around the other car, he took their place.
Tintin and Captain screamed in horror when a truck approached them in full speed. Without even blinking, the driver sureved past the truck and started driving on the side of the road, halfway mawing through the hedge.
"Haha! Italian drivers! Best in the world!" He informed Malory, who was smiling with her mouth gaping wide open at what just happened. At the silence of her fellows, she looked over her shoulder.
"You guys okay?" She asked, grinning at the sight of Tintin and Captain crouched behind her and the driver.
The car shook violently as they drove down a poor gravel road and out of nowhere, the driver came into a sudden halt.
"Thundering Typhoons!" Captain exclaimed as he and Tintin fell off their seats while Malory gripped the dashboard.
"There!" The driver told her and pointed ahead to Malory's side where the car they were chasing stood still on the side of the road.
"Thank you, sir..." Tintin thanked the man weakly.
"Keep in touch, will you? We could use a driver like you!" Malory praised the driver while her boyfriend and friend exited quickly (And not just because of the urgency of the situation), and bidding goodbye to the Italian, she got out of the car and it drove away.
"Empty." Tintin stated as they approached. There were no signs of the bordurians or Professor Calculus. But just as Tintin was about to inspect the car for clues, an engine kicking to life started behind them. In the field stood a plane and Professor Calculus was being forced inside by the agents!
"There they are!" Tintin said. Snowy started barking as the small group charged towards the plane, but it was starting to move quickly.
Tintin, without thinking, ran towards the moving plane and grabbed the door's handle.
"Tintin, wait!" Malory called after him, trying to get to him but Captain held her back.
"No, Lass!" He told her, looking at her horrified look before looking over as well. He couldn't catch Tintin but no matter what, Malory was in no shape to do something like this.
Tintin gasped as he pounced onto the plane's wing just before the plane took off. Groaning, he tried to pry open the latch while the tied up Professor Calculus watched helplessly. The plane started taking height and the wind became stronger. Tintin growled through gritted teeth, trying to hold on but he was slowly losing grip...
A scream left his lips as he dropped down. It was an absolute miracle a haystack was there to cushion his landing.
He breached the surface, looked around and then at the distancing plane.
"Don't worry, Professor. We'll save you!" Tintin yelled after it in a promise.
"You're alright, Lass?" Captain asked softly and looked at the girl he held in his arms. It's like the first time he realized how small and young she is, especially now... She was still recovering. Will she even be able to go through this adventure?
As if knowing she's sort of being tested, Malory had to fight every fiber in her being so that her knees won't just buckle under her. Everything just happened so quickly and the adrenaline rush she endured during this was like a sharp punch to her injuries...
'Professor Calculus is in danger.'
"Yes." She replied shortly, not meeting Captain's eyes and just watching Tintin making his way back to them, well aware that the first thing Tintin will do when he gets to them will be to wrap his hands around her and she'll have ensure he won't notice anything that will make him leave her out of this rescue mission.
To be continued...
