Ramon and Alonso.

Malory POV:

"Oh, you really are unlucky." The housekeeper replied when she heard what we came from.

"We missed the parrot again?" I asked in disbelief and disappointment.

"I'm afraid so, the same gentleman from yesterday picked him up a few moments ago." She explained and I tensed.

Tintin probably felt it since I stood right next to him because he grabbed my hand and gave it a soft squeeze, something he got used to do when I'm upset since China, and this time he was calming me down that the man is not here and it's not my fault we've come late.

I hope he's right. Because now all I am wondering is what now?

No One POV:

The Spanish man drove out of the alley as his partner rubbed his beard in thoughts, looking out of his window.

"Great Greedy Guts!" The Spanish man exclaimed when he looked at the window next to him at the sidewalk and saw Tintin, Malory and Snowy walking there, "It's them!"

He hurried to back off.

"He must want the parrot for the same reason we do." Tintin thought out loud.

"I guess, it's either to find out who killed Balthazar or to make sure no one finds out who did it, which could probably be him." I pointed out.

"I just want you to know, Malory, it's not your fault that we missed the parrot." They were so busy in the conversation, they didn't notice the vehicle that started speeding up towards them the moment they stepped on the road, "We went on foot so even if we would've went earlier, he probably would have got here before us anyway."

Malory chuckled in sarcasm.

"Really? How? You think he came here by a ca- LOOK OUT!" Tintin gasped when she pulled him out of the way along with Snowy just in time.

Once they came through, Snowy rose on his feet and ran after them for a few moments, barking angrily.

"Don't say anything." Malory asked as she stared after them while starting to get up with Tintin.

"But you see? I told you so-"

"No, I meant don't say anything because I need to make sure I've got all the numbers of their license plate! And yeah, you told me so." She added the last part as she looked up at him with a smirk, after she pulling out her notepad and writing down the numbers '160891'.

"Malory, you're brilliant!" He exclaimed and she just chuckled and shrugged.

"I'm trying." Was all she said before getting determined, "Let's go pay them a visit!"

Tintin POV:

We stared at the automobile dumbfounded as as old driver waited for another old gentleman to get in.

"Mmm... obviously the wrong number." I told Malory uncomfortably and when she didn't response I became afraid.

Did I upset her?

"Or they used fake plates!" I hurried to say but suddenly she stopped and put a hand on the notepad in my hands, making me stop nervously.

"Or..." She turned the notepad upside down, changing the numbers to '168091', making me look at her in shock again, which she chuckled nervously about.

"I guess I was kind of dizzy after escaping the car..." She explained herself awkwardly before becoming determined again, "Let's go pay them a visit!"

Malory POV:

It was night when Tintin and I found the car next to a small house at the outskirts of the city and noises of a parrot came from there, letting us know we're definitely right this time.

We made our way to the only window that had lights in it and peeked in.

"Missed again!" The Spanish man groaned, making us understand that he was playing darts with his knives.

"Missed again!" Polly repeated him and sounded really close.

"Shut up, Stupid Bird!" The Spanish man growled at him and we could hear him making his way towards the board.

"Right now that Stupid Bird is smarter than you, Ramon." The partner we just met said from his place at the table, revealing the name of the Spanish man.

"If he's so smart, why hasn't he told us who killed Balthazar?" Ramon asked as he came back to our view with the knife in his hands.

"So they are looking for the killer." I whispered to Tintin who hushed me with a finger on his lips and nodded before looking back.

"Sooner or later he will!" The partner promised and Ramon threw his knife again.

"Missed again!" Polly said.

"SHUT UP!" Ramon roared and threw another knife, probably trying to hit the bird but ended up hitting the window.

I gasped in fright but Tintin was quicker and he clamped his hand on my mouth, as I lightly squeezed his arm, both of us listening again.

"Missed again!" Polly said and this time started repeating it non stop.

"Fool! That bird means a fortune to us! Without it we'll never find the real idol!" The partner scolded him before walking to the bird and starting to pet him on his chest.

"Right my little amigo, you'll tell us-"

But Polly probably doesn't like belly rubs as much as Snowy because he bit the partner's finger, making him scream in pain and back off.

"Kramba! I'll kill you!" He yelled and pulled out a gun, ready to shot, "You-"

"RODRIGO LOPEZ! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Polly suddenly yelled, flapping his wings, this time making both Tintin and I gasp in surprise.

Wow, the bird REALLY started singing.

"LOPEZ?!" Ramon and his partner shouted in surprise, making us understand that they know who's Polly talking about.

"Lopez..." Tintin repeated as we looked at each other before looking back.

"Hello? Global Travel? Si, I need information about passage to San Theodoros." The partner asked in the phone.

"Are you sure Lopez will return there, Alonso?" Ramon asked as he played with his knife on the table.

"He must if his story is true." Alonso replied, covering the mouthpiece for a moment before going back to the phone, "Si... Si... The S.S Ville do Leon is the only ship bound to San Theodoros this month? Good, good... passage for two, please."

"Won't our old cellmate be surprised to see us again." Ramon said with an evil smirk, revealing how they know Lopez.

He threw his knife again.

"KRAMBA!" Polly repeated, apparently Ramon hit the target this time.

"Come on, Malory." Tintin whispered-yelled to me as he jumped off.

"But what about-"

"Polly will be fine, I promise! Let's go, we need to find a way to get to Lopez first!" I nodded and jumped off, running after him.

To be continued...
