Professor Alimbick?
Malory POV:
After convincing Tintin for the hundredth time that I didn't need a doctor and reminding him that we don't have much time to pack to Syldavia, we went back to whatever was left from our apartment and did just that.
"First bricks, then bombs! These guys aren't messing around." Tintin commented as he threw another shirt into his suitcase.
"I'm starting to see why the Syldavians didn't want the Bordurians around." I agreed as I finished folding a spare pair of trousers when suddenly the phone rang in the living room so I went and picked it up, "Hello?"
"Malory?" I smiled at the familiar voice, "It's Professor Alimbick! Just wanted to check that everything's- NOOO-"
The call and my heart stopped at the same time.
"Professor? PROFESSOR?!" I yelled into the phone, Tintin ran into the living room, concerned since he probably heard the loud scream from the phone which I hurried to put back before both of us bolted to Flyaway Road.
"-Excuse me! -Pardon me!" People complained as we elbowed our way through them.
We stopped at crossroad, almost running into it but soon decided to anyways, resulting in us almost getting rammed by a bus.
Finally, we made it and Tintin charged through the door.
"Professor?!" I called and to my surprise, and his apperently, he looked up from his suitcase, which he was about to put a folded shirt into.
He looked fine.
"Why did you scream? I thought you were in trouble!" I asked, feeling my heart a bit.
"But... I didn't scream." He replied, looking confused.
"I heard you, Professor." I insisted, now getting somewhat suspicious.
"You must've made a mistake, I'm fine." He reassured me as he gestured at himself as if to prove he wasn't harmed in any way.
I was about to continue arguing but Tintin cut in.
"Sorry. We'll see you at the airport in a couple of hours." He said before closing the door and stopping me from protesting any further.
"I don't get it! I heard him scream, loud and clear! He was in the middle of asking me if everything's fine when he screamed and the call got cut off, he sounded terrified. Honestly, Tintin!" I rumbled as we stopped at the entrance.
"I know, Malory, I heard him too." Tintin reassured me, his frown deeper than ever as he looked at the window of the Professor's apartment, "I don't like this, something isn't right."
No One POV:
The duo, still frowning, didn't say another word about the subject and started to make their way back to their apartment, unaware of the man who was watching leave, looking relieved.
Tintin POV:
Later this morning, Malory and I were at the airport and immediately spotted Professor Alimbick about to get on the flight to Syldavia.
"Good morning, Professor!" I greeted with a wave as we approached.
He turned to look at us.
"'Morning, Tintin and Malory." He greeted back as he dropped something. A cigarette.
I looked at it in surprise and glanced at Malory to see her inspecting it too.
"Last call for flight 61, Brul. All passengers must aboard immediately." A voice in the distance said as we watched Snowy sniffing the cigarette, even he seemed suspicious.
