All ABORT the Train to Jauga!
No One POV:
So while the detectives started feeling the consequenses of heading South, Tintin, Malory, Captain and Snowy were boarding the train to Jauga.
"What a mob! This train is going to be crammed." Captain commented as they watched the station and all the people flocking towards their train through the window of their compartment.
But what they didn't see through the window was their stalker watching them before he approached the conductor, who just finished helping someone. Once he was done, the man grabbed him his arm and asked something. The conductor shook his head and tried to leave but the man grabbed him by the collar and pointed upwards threatningly, making the man nod and the two departed.
Right after that, the locomotive blew its' whistle and the train left without anyone but the heroes on it.
"Have a good trip, Señores." He wished to no one.
Malory POV:
There was soft thud coming from the hall and a few grumbles of pain in Captain's voice, I shook my head lightly and leaned against Tintin's shoulder to read along with him.
"Thundering Typhoons!" Captain finally grumbled as he showed up at the door, making us look at him.
"With so much people here, Captain, I'm surprised you managed to get here." I commented.
"Actually, that's the odd thing, Lass. There's not another soul in this carriage. We're alone." Captain explained as he returned to his seat.
"Strange... We must be pretty high up. We've been climbing steadily for hours." Tintin pointed out while I peeked into the hall to see that he was right. Tintin and I were so immersed in the reading, we didn't notice.
"I don't like this! I'm going to find the brakes, just in case." I stood up and Tintin nodded in approval.
"Wow, we really are climbing high. It's quite a slope here!" I infromed as I stepped into the hall and realized in what a steepy position it was.
"See?" Captain said from the cabin as I started stumbling forth towards the front of the carriage. I found the brakes just as I felt the carriage slowing down and heard Tintin speaking.
"Hello? We're slowing down. We must be coming to a station." I looked at him as he came into the hall and opened the window.
Using a momentum, I grabbed the handle of the door that was leading out to the next carriage and pushed it open with a groan...
To see the train breaking away and leaving us.
"Excuse me?!" I lightly released my hold on the handle from shock as the momentum passed and the door closed, sending me stubmling backwards.
"WHAT? Oh no!" Tintin cried out as well, probably seeing what happened to the carriage in the window.
"Catch me, please!" I gasped, tripping and trying to stop myself multiple times until I finally lost my balance and was about to meet the floor. But apperantely I got close enough for Tintin to catch me and I looked up at his surprised face, "Thank you!"
"Captain! Our section has been unhooked!" Tintin yelled to our friend as he ran back into our compartment and grabbed him.
"What?" barely managed to grab his hat which he sat next to him.
Back at the front of the carriage, I groaned louder this time as I forced the door we entered through to it open just as the boys arrived and moved out of the way to let Captain out first.
