Who lives, Who died, Who'll tell the story? (2)

Malory POV:

I groaned as Sakharine's henchmen pushed me to the ground so I was now on my knees, Tintin and his parents soon joined me, making Rosita release a small gasp of pain.

"Watch it!" Desmond hissed at the henchman who did that but the man just ignored him and walked away as Sakharine made his way towards us, laughing maniacally as he tapped Ivan's shoulder, who stood beside him and watched the whole scene unfolding.

"Well done, Ivan. You've done a wonderful job." Sakharine complimented with his cold smile and Ivan just laughed nervously and looked away.

"Eh yes, I did, thank you Father." He replied.

"Father??" We all exclaimed in disbelief.

"Ivan? How could you? I trusted you! WE trusted you!" Desmond roared angrily as he gestured at him and Rosita and she soon joined in to the protests.

"You were like a friend and a family to us!" She added but all Ivan did was giving them an uneasy look as Sakharine rolled his eyes.

"Oh, don't act like you're so surprised by that, Desmond my old friend!" He said as he took a few steps closer towards us before stopping and smiling evilly at us again, but especially, "After all, you out of all people should be used to being betrayed by someone you once trusted, don't you?"

Tintin and I turned to look at each other in confusion before looking over at his parents, who were looking at him in anger and horror.

As if they don't believe that he dared to go down to that level... but what level actually?

But it all broke when a chain of barks from behind Sakharine snapped us back to reality and made Sakharine groan tiredly and roll his eyes as he turned his attention back to the whole room.

"Would you mind stop this whole fuss and get this giant rat already?" He yelled at the henchmen as he watched their attempts to get Snowy.

"Come here, you little..." One of them said as he tried to corner our four legged friend, who barked at him non-stop.

Without thinking, I pulled my leg from under me and tripped the man, Snowy climbed over him and ran to the exit.

"GET HIM!" Sakharine ordered and two of his henchmen tried to charge at him but Tintin acted fast and threw himself at one of them, knocking him down and just as the other leaped to get Snowy, he pounced out of the room and ended up hitting his head in the floor and lying flat on the ground.

"RUN SNOWY!" I called after him with a victory smile, knowing he'll get us help.

'POP!' 'CRACK!'

"AHH!" I screamed in pain when Sakharine hit my shoulder with his cane, making it snap out.

"Malory!" Tintin and his parents called in concern as I flinched and hissed from the impact.

Turns out my shoulder only hurts if you're hitting it when it's out. Like, a lot.

"I must thank you for your service, Malory." Sakharine suddenly said, the sick smirk I wished not to see anymore after our first adventure is clear on his face, "It was so nice of you to leave a trail of color for me to follow. You led me right to my ''friend'''s doorstep."

"How did you know it was me?" I demanded to know.

"Because unlike my Idiot friend, I connected all the dots a long time ago." He replied in cockiness as he grabbed Tintin's chin roughly, "I knew Desmond had a son, I knew it's your friend when we've met, I knew that the moment Desmond saved you from my attempt to get rid of you both you'll at least notice something and stick your nose in their business like you always do because you can't stop yourself."
