*THUD*
"What was that?" Addison gulped. She turned back to her phone. "You guys hear that?"
Her parents frowned. "What is it, Sweetie?" Alison asked.
*THUD*
"There was a thud," Addison frowned, getting up with her phone. "Did you guys hear it?"
The Parkers silently listened.
*THUD*
"Yeah, I heard something too," Edward nodded.
"I think it came from outside," Addison said, going towards the door. The thud came again. "Sounds like someone's going up the stairs."
She slowly opened the door to see a ball of red hair coming up the steps. It was Jordan, miserably dragging himself up the steps with his tote trailing behind him.
"Guys, I'll call you back later," Addison quickly told her parents and hung up before running towards him. "Jordan!"
Jordan looked up and glared at her, his eyes tired and puffy. "What?!"
"Fio told me what happened," Addison said, frowning at his hoodie which he zipped all the way up presumably to cover the coffee stain underneath. "Are you okay? She really went overboard..."
Jordan scowled and continued dragging himself to his room, shutting the door behind him with a slam. Addison just stared after him in shock.
"Well, that doesn't look very good," An Italian voice remarked.
Addison turned around and saw Giuseppe standing behind her with his bag.
"What happened now?" Giuseppe asked again.
Addison sighed. "His girlfriend fought with him. She even threw her coffee at him."
Giuseppe's eyes almost popped out of his head. "Mio Dio... what did he do?"
"He was just grumpy and besides, she doesn't even remember the reason behind the fight. She said she wanted to talk to him to see if he was okay, but this happened instead."
"Looks like the only thing she did was add fuel to the fire," Giuseppe shook his head.
Addison frowned as he made his way to his room, still shaking his head. She retreated into her own room and called her mother again.
"What happened, Honey?" Alison asked as soon as she answered. "What was that sound?"
"My housemate... the one I carpool with in the morning," Addison sighed. "It's a long story..."
"What happened?" Edward asked. "Is he drunk?! Is he ransacking the place?! I'm coming over to get you right now."
Addison quickly shook her head. "No no, nothing like that. He was just coming up the stairs."
"Oh," Edward relaxed. "So loud?"
"Well... he had a fight with his girlfriend," Addison sighed. "She... she went a little overboard and threw her coffee at him. I think he's been crying or something, poor guy..."
"How do you know all of this?" Alison asked suddenly. "Did this happen in front of you?"
"No, the girlfriend told me," Addison explained. "She's my coworker, her shift is right after mine."
"Coworker? How small is Spring Valley?" Alison piped up, confused. "And then you're telling me that your landlady's son knows your other coworker."
"And then your mystery tenant is your actually your new Academic Writing lecturer too," Edward added. Spring Valley is tiny!"
Addison shrugged. "Kinda. But I'm actually the one who introduced him to that girl since we went to the mall together that day and stopped for coffee. But yeah. I'm not sure what to do now."
"Ask that girl to apologise to him or something," Edward suggested. "Whose fault is it anyway?"
"Jordan's been a bit down recently and we sent her to speak to him to find out what's wrong," Addison explained. "But this happened instead."
Her parents shook their heads.
"That's a lot of drama," Alison snorted.
"I know right..." Addison agreed dolefully. "And earlier today, I spotted Superhero crying alone in an alleyway."
Edward frowned thoughtfully. "Was this before or after the Jordan incident?"
"After," Addison smirked.
"You already have that suspicion, don't you?" Edward grinned mischievously.
"What is it?" Alison asked, confused.
"One Love!" Both her daughter and husband said, laughing.
Alison frowned. "Seriously? What's this actually about?"
Edward laughed and explained to her. "He might be the Superhero."
"Yeah, Mom," Addison added. "We've been suspecting him for being the Superhero for days now."
Alison nodded thoughtfully. "I see... well, I guess we better get going. The two of them are being really quiet now... who knows what they're doing..."
Addison snorted. "Better check on them. Next thing you know, they're scribbling each other's faces or something like last time."
"Ooooo we better go, then," Edward quickly said. "Okay bye."
Addison laughed as they hung up. She sighed as soon as they disappeared from her phone. It was time for Galante class.
With a groan, she got up and threw her food wrappings away before grabbing her bag and going down.

"What happened with Jordan?" Was the first thing that Jake asked as soon as Addison sat in front of him at the dining table.
"Fiolina went to see him at work to ask if he was okay but ended up making the story worse," Addison sighed.
"What did she do?" Jake groaned.
"She threw her coffee at him," Addison sighed again. "Poor Jordan... he looked as if he had been crying or something."
Jake groaned again. "Oh no... what happened?"
Addison shrugged. "She doesn't quite remember. I tried asking him but just walked away."
"I need to try and speak to him," Jake sighed and stood up. He nodded at Giuseppe. "Excuse me for a while, Giuseppe. I need to go see if Jordan's okay."
"Go right ahead," Giuseppe nodded. He stood up too. "I'll come too. After all, I'm just as concerned as you are, Jacob."
Addison was surprised when the two of them just started making their way upstairs. She got up and went after them too, eager to know what was going on.

"Jordan, are you in there?" Jake called as he rapped on the door. "Jordan! You okay in there?"
No reply.
"JORDAN!" Jake shouted, banging on the door. "Oi! You okay?!"
"Go away!" Jordan's muffled voice called back.
"Jordan, come on," Jake groaned. "Please, Jor-"
"I said LEAVE!" Jordan shouted. "Leave me alone!"
Jake was taken aback. "Jordan..."
"Just go. Please..."
Jake sighed. He turned around and shrugged, making his way to his room rather dolefully. Addison and Giuseppe were left to watch.
"Poor Jake..." Addison remarked shaking her head. "I don't know who to feel bad for now."
"Wonder what's going on in that ginger head of his..." Giuseppe added, frowning.
Addison frowned for a moment and went towards Jordan's door, crouching and pressing her ear against the wood to listen in. To her surprise, Giuseppe got down next to her too.
"What's he doing in there..." Giuseppe murmured. He muttered something in Italian and scooted closer.
Addison frowned and stood up. She knew that they were gonna get caught, especially because of the noise Galante was making, shuffling around on the ground.
And she was right. Not five steps had she taken when the door sprang open, making Giuseppe fall at Jordan's feet with a yelp.
"What are you doing?" Jordan asked, staring at Giuseppe in surprise.
The Italian man quickly moved away and started feeling the ground, as if searching for something. "I dropped a coin somewhere here..."
Jordan just stood there, frowning as he tapped his foot.
Giuseppe soon got up, holding a coin. "I found it!"
The redhead glared at him as he casually made his way back to his room. He then turned to Addison. "You? Lost your coin too?"
Addison just raised her hands in surrender and entered her room.
Well, at least it was class cancelled yet again.
