A few days passed and Superhero made no appearance. Addison frowned as she thought about it, wondering if the town's knight with blinding armour was safe. Jordan's mom had long left the house, much to everyone's relief, Giuseppe was almost always out.
She was just getting ready for work when a knock sounded on the door.
"Addie?" It was Jordan. "Could you come out for a sec?"
"Hold on," Addison sighed as she finished buckling her pants. She fixed her shirt slightly and opened the door. "What's up?"
Jordan frowned and handed her his phone. "Take a look at this."
Addison looked at it and to her surprise, it was weather news footage that aired live last night. What was interesting about it wasn't the weather or the reporter, but a bystander in the background.
It was Giuseppe. He was clearly loitering about there intentionally, even crouching to take something from the ground. It was the definition of suspicious behaviour.
"Is that Galante?" Addison said in surprise. "What is he doing, wandering around in the background of live news?"
Jordan shrugged. "Beats me. But I feel like he's got something up his sleeves. His jolly behaviour is just a coverup."
Addison looked around to make sure that Giuseppe wasn't about before turning back to him. "You don't think he's a criminal or anything, do you?"
"Nah," Jordan chuckled. "Maybe. I mean... he might be an undercover detective or something."
"Well, if he's undercover, he ain't doing a very good job now, is he?" Addison gestured towards Jordan's phone which she was still holding. She handed it back to him upon realising this. "Maybe it's something else."
"Like what?"
"Maybe he's the Superhero?"
Jordan sighed. "Addie, at this point, you'd say that even the postman is the Superhero. First it was Jake, then me, and now this?"
"It's relevant, isn't it?" Addison pointed out. "We did consider the 'New Tenant' to be the Superhero before we even found out who he is, right? Just because we found it to be Galante, that doesn't rule him out, right?"
"You might actually be onto something," Jordan slowly nodded. "Alright, we'll keep an eye on him."
Addison smiled as she watched Jordan leave. Whatever the problem he had been facing was evidently disappeared after his mother came and left. Maybe the Andersons finally realised how much of a toll it took on him.
Addison grabbed her bag and went downstairs to see Jake bringing in a box with a sticker that said its contents were fragile.
"Addie, it's for you," Jake said, bringing it over to her. "You want me to help bring it to your room?"
It wasn't that the the box was heavy, Addison was sure that she could take on it, but she was more concerned with going up the stairs without a free hand to hold the railing. The stairs still scared her a little.
But she didn't wanna bother Jake...
So she still took it and rather slowly went up the stairs. Addison heaved a sigh of relief when she succeeded without falling.
And then she dumped the box on her bed and ran down the stairs since she was getting late for work.

Jeff was surprised to see Jordan tag along again. "Well, well. We have Hoodie with us again."
"Yo," Jordan greeted before seating himself at the table. "How you doing?"
"Good," Jeff nodded. "Anyway, notice anything different since the last time you came here?" He made a V shape with his hands, fingertips touching each other, under his chin.
Addison sighed and turned to Jordan. "This guy thinks getting a decent amount of sleep is a big achievement."
"Why, of course it is!" Jordan grinned, going over to Jeff. "Give me five, man."
Addison smirked as she watched the two men exchange high-fives. "I guess you're right, it is a good achievement to have enough sleep."
Jeff smirked. "I have changed, what about you?" He gestured towards Addison as she reached for a rather large sandwich from the refrigerator shelf. "That's literally the biggest sandwich I've ever seen, dude!"
"Cut me a break, I'm starving," Addison bit back. "All I had was a cheese bun this morning. And also," she smirked as she turned back to them. "My cooker just arrived today."
"That's great!" Jeff grinned excitedly before turning to Jordan. "How 'bout you? You ordered it too, didn't you?"
Jordan nodded. "I did. It arrived just a few days ago. It's really effective."
"I was actually thinking of getting an air fryer at first, but this was cheaper and I can cook chicken salad with it," Jeff proudly said. "You should try making chicken salad, it's awesome."
"Someone getting into a Keto diet?" Addison asked, grabbing a yoghurt drink before returning to the counter.
"What? Nah," Jeff chuckled. "Just found an easy recipe online."
"Share me the link of this recipe," Addison said, waiting as he scanned her meal. "It looked good when you were eating it the other day."
"And you also gotta go grocery shopping," Jordan added. "I got some on my way back from work yesterday."
Jeff nodded in agreement, motioning for her to press her card against the reader. "You should get mostly canned food or dry stuff. If you want meat stuff, better cook it on the day unless you have a freezer handy."
"Yeah, I do not..." Addison sighed, taking her card out to pay. "Maybe I'll get some canned sardines or beans or something like that."
"That would be good," Jordan said. "Rice or noodles is good too."
"Or vegetables like potatoes or onions," Jeff added. "Fruits aren't any good..."
Addison snorted as she took her sandwich and drink back to her seat. "Who cooks fruit?"
Jeff smirked and leaned over the counter. "Grated coconut, tomatoes, peppers, squashes, aubergines, and..." he shrugged. "A lot more."
Addison politely nodded. "Fine. I didn't think of that."
Jeff chuckled. "You can also get eggs. They are a good source of protein and have a fairly long shelf life at room temperature."
"But you still have to finish it quickly," Jordan added. "Buy the ten-pack. It can last a few days."
Addison nodded, pretending to take notes on her palm with a finger as the stylus. "Right, right. I'll keep that in mind. I'll just drop by at Speedmart later and get some stuff."
"It's gonna cost you a hefty sum, but it's worth it," Jeff stated. "Because you can save money later by not buying dinner every night."
"Can I toast sandwiches in it?" Addison asked, a question that made them wonder.
"I... I'm honestly not sure," Jeff said at last. "What do you think? You wanna try it?"
"Maybe you should add some butter to the cooker first," Jordan suggested. "It might work, seeing how you can literally cook pasta in it."
"You're right," Jeff nodded in agreement.
