Addison sighed and sat on her bed. At least, Jordan's outburst brought her some free time from Galante Class. She ended up deciding to watch tv since she had been missing out on the news lately. She was just in time too since the newscaster had just begun reading the headlines.
"Superhero nowhere to be seen today," Addison gasped when she heard that. The newscaster then moved on to another piece of news.
Addison's mind started working rapidly. She pulled out her case file and furiously started writing her findings.
'Jordan came home early today, straight from work and Superhero didn't show up today...' Addison thought as she wrote. 'It's either they both took a break at the same time or...' she gasped. 'They're both the same person.'
She quickly wrote and even stuck a picture of Jordan on the corner of the page. If Jordan saw this, he would be really freaked.
Addison closed the book and decided to watch a movie online before going to bed.***
Addison got up and made her way downstairs again. As usual, Jordan was having his morning cocoa. She didn't know what to say or how he'd respond so she just made her way towards the water dispenser.
Jake came in, evidently sensing the redhead in the kitchen. The two men locked eyes for a moment before Jake broke away and made his way to the fridge, fishing out a couple of Itchy-Buns.
For some reason, the redhead never stopped glaring at Jake. Addison realised this too and decided to step in.
"Uhh... Jordan?" Addison called. "You carpooling with me? Because it's completely alright if you don't since... I can just take a PickYou."
"Or you can come with me," another voice chimed in.
Everyone turned to see Giuseppe grinning at the doorway.
"You don't see that every day," Jordan muttered in surprise.
"Uh..." Addison uttered, not sure what she should do.
"It's okay, Addie, you can carpool with me," Jordan quickly said. "Don't wanna disturb the Dean of the Business and Communications Department now, do we?"
"Yeah, you must be super busy, Mr. Galante," Addison added. "We're good."
"Well, you might be, but Signor Capelli Rossi?" Giuseppe narrowed his eyes at Jordan.
To their surprise, Jordan just placed his cup in the sink and left.
"Hey, who's gonna wash that cup?!" Felicia suddenly barged in.
Addison quickly left, giving Jake and Giuseppe a nod."Jordan, I don't think you should treat Galante like that," Addison piped up as soon as she spotted Jordan on the porch. "No matter what, he's still our lecturer. And a good one too."
Jordan shrugged. "But a bad person if you ask me."
Addison sighed, not really sure how she can even argue with him. She just followed him to his car and got in.
At least the ride was fun since she enjoyed looking at the morning sun shining through the clear sky. It was so clear that she could even see the moon, full but not in its fullest glory since it was the sun's turn to shine now.
Addison sat back and ended up watching the moving cars, even letting out a few silent exclamations of awe when seeing luxury sports cars."We have Galante classes later," Addison said. "Last period."
"Oh, you meant actual Galante classes and not that stupid tuition of his," Jordan rolled his eyes. "Seriously, how you stand him twice a day, I still don't know."
Addison frowned. It was he who started everything. And now he's wondering why she even takes classes with him? She sighed and continued nibbling on her breakfast before going off for classes. She only had one class with Jordan, only Academic Writing, and she was glad for it.Addison was early for Academic Writing and decided to sit at the front. Giuseppe soon arrived and was surprised to see no one in the hall besides Addison.
"Where are the rest?" Giuseppe asked.
Addison shrugged. "I'm really not sure this time, Sir."
Giuseppe frowned and looked at his phone. "Well, no news of anyone hanging by the railings... so where is everyone?"
Aaron soon came in and so did Cody. They sat at the far corner, all the way at the back, next to each other.
"I still have no idea why the two of you always sit so far away," Giuseppe shook his head. "Any idea where the rest are?"
"Uh..." Aaron cluelessly trailed off.
"No, Sir," Cody answered instead. "We don't know."
Everyone soon started filling in and Addison spotted Jordan's headful of red hair. To her surprise, he decided to sit at the back instead of sitting with her at the front.
"Not sitting with Addison this time, Jordan?" Galante piped up too. "It's strange because the two of you are always sitting together."
Jordan only shrugged. Addison turned on her seat and frowned at him. Jordan only looked at her his face expressionless. Addison sighed and turned back to the front to concentrate on Galante's lecture.
She was still a little hurt that Jordan wasn't sitting with her. How's Jordan?
Addison frowned at the message from Fiolina and sighed.
Idk...
He didn't sit with me during Academic Writing just now
Fiolina started typing out a reply.
What happened?
Addison turned to where Jordan headed off and saw him making his way towards Sundeer Cafe.
I have no idea...
He was quite fine this morning, even offering to carpool me to work when I was doubtful
Mainly because Galante stepped in to offer lol
Fiolina typed out a mass of laughing emojis. Addison started making her way to the bus stop.
By the way
Imma come in later
Addison looked at the message in shock.
What?
As in...
Fiolina typed out the answer before she could even finish.
Yes
I'm coming to see Jordan before work
Still in class but imma go later
Addison gulped, not sure how it would turn out.
Good luck Fio
Fiolina replied with a few smilies.
Addison shrugged and made her way towards the bus stop.Jeff gave Addison a thoughtful frown as soon as she came in.
"Something happened," Jeff said. "I'm sure of it, something happened."
Addison sighed. "I have no idea."
She started telling him of what happened that morning and also about the part where Fiolina was planning to jump Jordan during work.
"That doesn't sound very good," Jeff finally said. "I mean, the first one sounds fun but the second one... sounds like trouble."
"I know right," Addison sighed. "As it is, Jordan shut off his best friend of years. Who knows how he'd respond to Fiolina?"
Jeff shrugged. "Well. Whatever happens... tell me of the outcome."
Addison playfully rolled her eyes and made her way towards the food warmer for some chicken pies and then went to get a bottle of yoghurt from the fridge.Addison waited and waited for Fiolina to arrive to know the result of confronting Jordan. She started growing more and more concerned when she wasn't responding to her text messages.
'What could've happened?' Addison thought as she checked the stocks.
Well, she was soon about to find out.
