Addison knew that it was him. It was time to confront him.
"You know, Jake..." Addison smirked. "It's actually really obvious."
"What's really obvious?" Jake asked, puzzled.
"All those clues, they all point to only one thing."
"Point to what thing?" Jake's grip around the steering wheel visibly tightened.
"That you're..."
"That I'm...?"
"You're—"
She stopped short when Jake violently hit the brakes. A bright flash of light zipped onto the road, disappearing as quickly as it appeared. Addison gasped and held onto the dashboard for support.
"Did you see that?" Jake exclaimed. "It was the Superhero! He just saved that kid!"
"Yeah..." Addison murmured. "I saw..."
"Close call..." Jake sighed, driving again, "I might've hit that kid if it wasn't for the Superhero! Also, what were you saying?"
Addison gulped. She was about to accuse him of being the Superhero when he was so clearly not.
"It was nothing," Addison quickly said. "Don't worry about it."
"You were saying that I am... something?"
"Nothing, I was just playing around. I was confused about something, but now it's all clear."
"Uh... you sure?" Jake said, confused.
"Very sure," Addison nodded. "Anyway, you coming down tonight for tuition?"
"Oh, yeah I am," Jake nodded. "There's this really complicating essay and for some reason, my lecturer isn't giving me higher marks than thirty-eight out of fifty. She says that my essay lacks a lot and stuff."
"I'll check on it later," Addison said. "I'm sure you just have to add some points and you're good."
They arrived home and Addison excused herself up to her room. The first thing she did was call Jeff.
He didn't pick up.
Addison just shrugged and put her phone on her table and went to the bathroom to shower.

Addison went downstairs to the dining room to have her 'tuition' with Jake. To her surprise, their redhead friend was there too.
"Oh look, you're joining today's class too?" Addison smirked, sitting down in front of them. "Alright, that essay you were talking about, Jake?"
Jake handed his laptop to her. "I've already done it, can you tell me what it lacks?"
And so the class began. Jordan was just watching them for the most part, nibbling on his snacks. Addison wished he would stop and just join the class or leave.
"Here, your essay lacks elaboration," Addison handed the laptop back to Jake. "Your points are good, but just try to add more sentences before the mini conclusion."
Jake nodded and pushed his reading glasses up his nose to edit it. Addison turned to Jordan, who seemingly only came to snack on the food.
"Jordan!" Addison called, causing the redhead to stop midway from eating his cookies. "What about you? Any doubts? Any essays to edit?"
Jordan quickly shook his head. He swallowed his mouthful of food and spoke. "Nope. Nothing at all."
"Then why are you here?" Jake asked, sounding annoyed.
Jordan shrugged. "Just because?"
Jake groaned, knowing full well why. "That's it, I'm leaving. See you tomorrow, Addie." He frowned at Jordan and went up to his room.
"Ookay?" Jordan snorted and turned back to Addison.
"Why are you here, anyway?" Addison couldn't help but ask.
Jordan shrugged. "For fun."
Addison narrowed his eyes at him. "Let me guess... Fiolina told you that he has a crush on me, didn't she..."
"How did you know?" Jordan asked, mildly surprised. "Also, it's true. Just look at the way he finds time to pick you up from work. Addie, I've known him for years and he never once went on his way to help me like this. And that smile of his, the one with the dimples? He hasn't done that since he was like fifteen, Addie."
Addison gulped, not sure what to say. After all, she had just suspected him of being the Superhero and that theory has just been debunked.
"I'm not sure..." Addison sighed, packing her things. "Anyway, see you tomorrow."
She took her things, and snacks, before going up to her room.
The new tenant was noisy as usual, causing bangs and thuds to echo around the house with whatever he was doing. Addison just shook her head and entered her room. Now, this guy was the prime suspect of being the Superhero.

The case file was opened again and Addison wrote her findings in it, crossing Jake out of the suspect list. Now, there was only one suspect.
The Mysterious New Tenant.
She had no idea what he even looked like and that was already something in common he had with the Superhero.
Addison made it a point to set up a camera in front of his room to see what he looked like.
But how would she do that? She doesn't even know where to get a camera that would fit the occasion.
Her phone suddenly vibrated on the table. Addison looked at it to see Jeff's smiling face illuminating the screen. She immediately picked up.
"Addie...?" Jeff sleepily greeted as soon as she picked up. "Why did you call?"
"Jeff! I've got some news!" Addison enthusiastically answered.
"What is it?" Jeff yawned. "It better be important since I'm giving up a few minutes of precious sleep just for you."
Addison rolled her eyes. "It is important! You see... when I was coming home with Jake just now, we saw the Superhero!"
"Ugh... so?" Jeff groaned. "Addie, you see him all the time. All over the news and social media too."
"No!" Addison exclaimed. "I mean, yes, we see him all the time and stuff, but here's the thing! It isn't Jake!"
"What do you mean?" Jeff sounded more alert now. "I thought you confirmed the fact it's him and stuff?"
"Yes, but he was with me when the Superhero saved a kid from being hit! Jeff, how could the Superhero possibly be in two places at once?"
There was a pause on the other hand. "You're right... The Superhero can only be in one place at a time. Gosh... now that's disappointing. I was starting to feel proud to be college-mates with the Superhero and now you're telling me it isn't him? Aww... man!"
Addison snorted. "If you think that's disappointing, I was on the brink of confronting him. Imagine this, Jeff. I was gonna say it but the Superhero's entry had actually cut me short. Good thing too or I would've accused Jake for no reason."
"No reason indeed. You wouldn't even have believed him if he denied."
"I wouldn't have... by the way, night! Get some sleep."
"I am, but look who's holding me."
Addison sighed. "Fine, Goodnight."
She hung up and put her phone down on the table with a sigh. She decided to just call her mother and chat before getting to bed instead.
