The welcome tune blared and the next thing Addison knew, a figure dressed in black practically fell into the shop. Addison gasped and leaned over to take a look.
The person was laying face down, a hood covering their head with an arm elongated, the hand balled into a fist. Their other arm was underneath their torso as if they were holding onto their stomach.
"He-Hello?" Addison gulped. She had a hunch and got off the counter, taking slow steps towards the person. "Are you... Sup-Superhero?"
The person stirred, pressing his elongated hand to the ground, lifting himself a little.
"Are you okay?" Addison asked.
The Superhero nodded and tried to get up. Addison had no idea what to do and tried pulling his hand, making him fall back onto the ground with a grunt. She quickly apologised and continued pulling him up. The Superhero swatted her hand away and slowly got up on wobbly legs, staggering to the side a little. Addison quickly grabbed his arm to support but he yanked it away and reached for the chair next to him, slumping down and laying his head on his elbow. Addison just stood there, confused.
"Want me to get you something to eat or drink?" Addison asked.
Superhero waved a hand, signalling a no. Right after that, his hand fell limp and the sound of soft snoring filled the room. Addison sighed and went back to the counter, watching as he slept. She kinda found it funny that he was even snoring. It kinda gave her a glimpse of his personal traits but not his face.
Addison decided to document everything, opening the note app on her phone to type everything out, complete with the date and details. She frowned and looked up at the Superhero before resuming her typing, studying whatever she can of the Superhero.

Almost two hours passes before the Superhero finally woke up. He yawned loudly and stretched his arms back, almost falling backwards with the chair. He quickly balanced himself and heaved a sigh, sitting there with his hands pressed against the table. Addison imagined that he looked both groggy and shocked under the mask.
The Superhero almost took his mask off but stopped short and drew his hand away as if he remembered that he wasn't alone. Addison inwardly cussed, seeing how her plan of getting a glimpse had failed.
Superhero turned around to look at her before getting up and groggily making his way towards the freezer, dragging his feet. He stared at the contents before pulling out a tray of bolognese spaghetti, much like the one Addison ate for lunch, and stuffed it into the microwave. Then he went to the SlurpSlurp machine and filled up a plastic cup with strawberry and cream soda slushy. His movements were slow but still had style and sophistication as he did it. Addison has no idea how filling a cup with SlurpSlurp would look so cool, especially done by a groggy person. Well, he was the Superhero for a reason.
He put the cup on the counter in front of her and she quickly keyed it into the register. The microwave started beeping, turning his attention to go there instead. The whole shop was silent save for the beeping and the sound of Superhero's feet brushing against the tiled floor.
After taking the spaghetti out, the Superhero decided to get himself a few honeycomb chocolate bars, a large bottle of mineral water, and a pack of candied mixed nuts. He put all of those on the counter and waited as Addison keyed them into the register.
"Twenty-seven dollars and eighty cents," Addison said, looking up at the Superhero, whose mask stared blankly at her.
Superhero dug in his pocket and pulled out thirty dollars, a twenty-dollar note and a ten. He put them down on the counter with a thud and collected his things before going back to his post by the window to eat, his back turned to her. Addison frowned at the money, seeing how he didn't even wait to collect his change, and put it in the register. She pulled out the change of two dollars and twenty cents.
"Mr. Superhero, your change?" Addison said, holding the money up. "You forgot to collect your change!"
The Superhero simply swatted a hand at her, as if signalling for her to keep it.
"Oh... okay..." Addison shrugged and stuffed the money into her pocket.
Addison sighed, he wasn't gonna let her have a glimpse. She knew that trying to surprise him from the front wouldn't work either so she just sat down on her stool and watched. Eventually, she got herself a pack of popcorn and ate that while watching the Superhero eat his own food as well.
She spotted him glancing at her for a moment, turning back to his food as he shook his head in apparent disgust.
Addison frowned. "Oh don't mind me, I'm hungry too." She crunched on more popcorn. "And also, I have nothing better to do."
There was a very silent chuckle, more like a gust of air being released from someone's nose. Addison shrugged, slightly surprised, and continued eating.
The Superhero seemed to have a very big appetite and very thirsty too, considering how he finished his SlurpSlurp in a minute and downed the entire 1.5 litres of mineral water in one go. He saved his two bars of honeycomb chocolate though, stuffing them under his coat.
"Wow... I've never seen anyone drink that quickly before," Addison remarked.
The Superhero turned to look at her but didn't say anything. He turned back to the table and started clearing everything away, dumping whatever trash into the rubbish bin near the coffee counter.
"I'll clear that up later to avoid anyone rummaging in it..." Addison assured. "The police came looking for specimens the last time you were here but luckily my coworker cleared it out before they came."
The Superhero turned to her and nodded, holding up his thumb.
"Oh come on, we're all on your side, none of us would snitch!" Addison laughed. "Then again, we don't even know nothing to be able to snitch on you."
The Superhero nodded again and went towards the fridge, where cans of beer and soda were stacked. Addison kinda expected him to pull out a beer but to her surprise, returned with an energy drink. He then picked up a pack of chewing gum from the shelf below the counter and placed it next to the can.
"Four dollars and ten cents," Addison said.
The Superhero handed her a five-dollar note. She put it in the cash register and handed him ninety cents. The Superhero shook his head.
"Come on, take your change," Addison sighed, handing it to him. "You gave up two dollars just now, at least take this."
The Superhero begrudgingly took it and stuffed the coins into his pocket. Addison heaved a sigh of relief as she watched him make his way back to his table and crack open his can of energy drink.
Addison eagerly leaned forward as he pulled his mask up to drink. She hoped she could at least get a side profile, but nope.

Woo! Superhero makes an entrance in the shop yet again! I've been wanting to write this for months lol. There's a lot more stuff in store lol 🥴🥴
