Felicia hung up the call with a frown and turned to the rest. By then, Giuseppe had returned and joined them too.
"So what was actually the problem?" Jake asked. "Did she say?"
Felicia shook her head and put the phone down on the coffee table. "She didn't. But she seemed surprised when I told her how much it's affecting Jordan."
"Who knows what's actually going on there," Giuseppe piped up. "But whatever it is, it's chaos."
Addison frowned. "There's another thing we learned tonight. Jordan isn't the Superhero. I saw it, he was right beside him. He brought Jordan home, then left to bring his car home. And then proceeded to smack Jordan.
"That sounds mean of the Superhero," Jake couldn't help but add.
"I think he did that to sober him," Addison shrugged. "It kinda helped, I think."
"Well, it seems to have shocked him enough to sober up," Giuseppe shrugged. "Anyway, did you see what this Superhero looked like?"
Addison shook her head. "It's back to phase one. Jordan's been debunked. I have to tell Fiolina about this, she's still thinking that the town's Superhero is none other than her own boyfriend."
"We need to check on him," Jake sighed. "He seemed kinda bummed just now."
"He's always bummed nowadays," Felicia remarked as she stood up. "Anyway, you guys gonna have a study session tonight?"
Giuseppe's gaze fell on the clock. "It's ten already..."
"Yeah, and I'm sleepy," Jake yawned. "Let's just check on Jordan and retire for the night."
Addison nodded and followed the rest up the stairs. Felicia came with them too, wearing a concerned look on her face as she went up the stairs with them. Jake marched right up to the redhead's room and rapped on the door.
"Jordan, you okay in there?" Jake called.
"I'm fine, just tired for now," Jordan groaned back. "It would be good to leave me be, I need to be alone."
Jake turned to look at them with a frown.
"Well, at least he's not barking at us like what he did the last time he went into grump mode," Giuseppe remarked. "Anyway, he's right. I'm really tired, I wanna go to bed too..."
Addison couldn't help but agree with that. She waved at the others and made a beeline for her room, heaving a sigh of relief as soon as she closed the door.

"You're calling a little late today, honey," Alison remarked, clad in a nightie. "Everything alright?"
That was enough for Addison to tell her everything about her new findings, sounding as if she was talking of a big masterminded plot.
"It was funny how Superhero smacked him, even gesturing that he stinks," Addison chuckled. "He must've been referring to his hoodie."
"Yeah, you told us about how he picks his ear and rubs the wax onto his hoodie," Madison nodded. "Talk about gross!"
"And then picks his teeth with the same finger," Edgar added.
Madison turned your her brother. "I thought you do that too?"
Edgar glared at her for a moment before turning back to his mother's phone. "I don't. Also, if you meet the Superhero again, give him a high-five and tell him that I said hi."
Addison chuckled. "I will."
She spoke a little more about the day's happenings, then hung up. Addison frowned at the time, seeing how it was nearly eleven, but still decided to give Jeff a call. There was a chance that he was still awake, especially since he proudly wore eye bags more often than not. That was a sure sign of a night owl who stayed up till the wee hours.
So Addison decided to just try. Who knows, maybe he'll pick up the phone.
Jeff didn't. The phone rang for a good thirty seconds before ending. Addison shrugged, thinking that he had already gone to bed. She decided to prepare for bed as well since it really was getting late.
Addison untied her hair and gently massaged her scalp with her fingertips to increase blood flow. She remembered reading somewhere that doing this helps reduce headaches and promote hair growth. Maybe it worked since she did have a headful of thick hair. After that, she took her time applying a generous amount of serum all over her hair to keep it nice and moist overnight.
She didn't notice how her phone had started ringing, a phone call from Jeff. Addison was surprised that he was calling her back, at this time of the day too.
"Hello?" Addison greeted as soon as she picked up.
A yawn came from the other end. "Hello, Addie. Why did you call me just now?"
"Oh!" Addison exclaimed, earning a muffled groan from the other end. "I have big news!"
"What big news could possibly come at this time of the day?" Jeff hoarsely said. "I was already asleep."
Addison frowned. "It's fine, you go back to bed. It can wait."
"No, no, no. You are not gonna do this to me. You woke me up from my sleep, Addie, to tell me of some big news. You can't just leave me hanging like that! I won't be able to sleep if you don't tell me. It's gonna keep me awake throughout the night if I don't know what this 'big news' is."
"Okay, okay," Addison grinned. "It's about the Superhero."
"What about him?" Jeff sounded more eager. "Did you find out who he is? Was it Hoodie all along? I knew it! I knew it would be him."
Addison shook her head and turned in her seat, her phone on speaker mode as she made her way towards her bed and sat down. "Well... I had to walk home today, don't worry everything went well, and then I was rummaging in my bag for the keys because I just chucked 'em in instead of putting them in the side pocket. All of a sudden, Jordan appeared behind me, seemingly from thin air!"
"So. I was right, then," Jeff said, his smile clearly heard. "And then? What did you do after you caught him?"
Addison sighed. "I didn't. Because just when I was gonna, Superhero stepped out from behind him!"
"Aww, man!" Jeff groaned. "So it's not him? Anyway, what did Hoodie do?"
"He got drunk and passed out in front of some pub. Superhero smacked him awake, brought him home, brought his car home, and then smacked him again. He also made a gesture to say that he stinks before disappearing."
Jeff burst into laughter. "I would loved to have seen that. But dang... if not Hoodie... then who's the Superhero?"
"Your dog," Addison couldn't help but joke.
"Well, you ain't wrong. He's named after the Superhero, anyway."
Addison chuckled. "I forgot to ask, how's he doing?"
"He's fine," Jeff chuckled. "He's right beside me, actually. I let him sleep on my bed."
"Your landlord doesn't mind?"
"Nope. He doesn't even know."
"Oi..." Addison snorted.
"What, his own dog is barking away downstairs, how would he know another dog is upstairs?" Jeff pointed out. "Besides, Super is just a puppy. He isn't even that loud yet."
"That's so cute, you call him Super? Aww!" Addison smiled. "Anyway, I don't wanna keep you away from your beauty sleep anymore. See ya at work."
"Yeah, bye. You get your beauty rest too."
Addison sighed and ended the call. It made her smile to know that Superhero, both the dog and the vigilante, were happy with their lives. Addison laughed when remembering how Superhero had actually pointed out that Jordan was smelly. She wasn't sure if the hoodie was actually smelly, but it was still amusing that he had pointed it out before leaving.
