June, 2021.

Scarlett POV

Today was the day. Today was the day my life would completely change.

"You look beautiful" My mother said next to me.

I looked at myself in the mirror running my hands through the white cloth that covered my body. I couldn't help but sigh. I never thought my life would end like this, marrying the man I cheated on the love of my life with.

"Are you ready?" My father asked from the door and I nodded.

We decided to have an intimate ceremony for Covid issues.

"I, Colin, take you, Scarlett, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life" Colin said taking my hand.

I bit my lip.

"I, Scarlett, take you, Colin, to be my husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life" I said, repeating his words.

Everything around me seemed to have vanished, I was in a trance. I felt Colin's lips on mine and the shouts of our relatives congratulating us brought me back to my reality.

The party was quiet. We hired a small caterer and a DJ.

When we got home we went up to our room and I began to take off my dress.

"How happy it makes me to be married to you" Colin said kissing me "We should inaugurate the bed as newlyweds"

Colin removed the rest of my dress as he placed kisses all over my neck.

"I really wanted to take off that damn dress" He said biting me roughly.

"Colin" I moaned when I felt his hand enter my underwear.

"Honey, I'm going to fuck you all night" He whispered in my ear.

Lizzie POV

I was at home, lounging on my couch, watching a movie when I suddenly received a video call from Alex. I got nervous, I didn't want to answer her because she was going to notice that I was weird and the truth is that I didn't want to answer her because I didn't want to break her heart.

"Aren't you going to answer?" Robbie asked leaving some snacks on the coffee table.

"It's Alex" I answered pursing my lips.

"Lizzie, you have to tell her" He said as he sat next to me "She's your best friend and it's better that she knows from you than from some gossip magazine"

"I don't want to break her heart anymore, Robbie" I said sighing.

"I know Liz" He said taking my hand "But it's been over a year and maybe she won't take the news so badly"

"Okay" I sighed taking my phone to call her since she had hung up.

*Facetime call*

"Hey, I thought you were busy" Alex said as soon as she answered.

"No, it's just that I couldn't answer the call" I lied "Why are you awake? Is pretty late over there"

"I can't slept" She answered "So I decided to call to bother you for a while"

"Oh, I see" I said nervous.

"Lizzie, are you okay?" She asked "I notice you a little tense"
