My birthday and Scarlett's passed by quickly. We didn't want to do anything big and just enjoy with our little family.
Lizzie wasn't very happy about this so she decided to come spend Christmas with us and Robbie, Chris and Victoria also came.
It took me some time to start preparing the baby's room and now I was putting together some furniture with the help of Robbie and Chris.
Obviously Scarlett was forbidden from coming in here until it was finished.
"Have you thought of a name yet?" Chris asked as he put together a rocking chair.
"We have several names but we said that we would decide when the baby is born" I answered giving him a smile.
"You look happier than ever" Robbie said making me laugh.
"I am" I said also laughing "I'm fulfilling my dreams"
"And when..." Chris began to say pointing to his finger where the engagement ring goes "You know."
"I'll do it after the baby is born" I said as I assembled the crib "I want to take her to Italy"
"How romantic" Robbie said making us laugh.
The hours passed and we had finally finished the room. The boys helped me fold the baby's clothes and when I left the room I decided to put a gift ribbon on the door.
Scarlett, Lizzie and Victoria decided to make a little Christmas dinner, of course with Rose's help.
"Mamma" Said the little girl running into my arms "We made Christmas cupcakes"
"Did you decorate them?" I asked walking towards a kitchen floor with her in my arms.
"Yes, with Aunt Vic" She replied handing me a cupcake in the shape of the Grinch.
"It's delicious" I said after taking a bite.
As I continued eating my cupcake, Scarlett came over to my side. I put what was left of the cupcake on the counter and brought one of my hands to her lower back and the other went to her belly.
"Have you finished the room yet?" She asked excited.
"It's finished, but you can see it in the morning" I said kissing her lips quickly "It's a surprise"
"Party pooper" She said making everyone laugh "I'll go sit down for a moment"
I helped Scarlett sit on the couch, arranging a cushion in her lower back.
"Ouch" She said suddenly and I looked at her worried.
"Are you OK?" I asked kneeling in front of her.
Scarlett took my hand and put it to her belly where I could feel the small kicks that our little boy gave her.
"Come on little man, give mom a break" I said making Scarlett laugh.
"I want to hold him in my arms" She said softly.
"Me too, amore" I said kissing her softly "When dinner is ready I'll come for you"
We had a quiet and laugh-filled dinner.
The next morning Rose woke us excited.
"Wakey Wakey" She said jumping on top of me "I want to see my little brother's room"
I heard Scarlett laugh softly and my gaze went to her.
"Good morning, love" I said kissing the tip of her nose "Merry Christmas"
"Merry Christmas, bug" She said smiling.
"Let's go" I quickly got up to do my morning routine and she did the same with Rose.
