Chapter 57

It had already been a little over a month since our amazing and recreational honeymoon. If you know what I mean.

As soon as we got back to New York we decided to talk to Rose as we obviously wanted to know her opinion about moving to Italy and she was more than happy with that.

Scarlett began working to expand The Outset to Italy, while I started designing her store in Italy.

I was glued to looking at some infrastructure designs I had to show Scarlett and only snapped back to reality when my office door was flung open.

"I WANTED TO TALK TO YOU, ALEXANDRA" I heard Lizzie yell.

I looked up and freaked out when I saw her frowning and her head slightly tilted.

"What did I do?" I asked confused.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" She asked now "WHAT IS THIS SHIT THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE IN ITALY?"

"Oh" I said softly.

Yep. We had not yet told our friends of our news.

"How did you know?" I asked getting up slowly.

"Your mom" She answered crossing her arms.

"God, that woman" I said running my hand through my hair "Listen Liz, I..."

"I'm your best friend" She said in a sad tone "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because we wanted to find the right time to tell you, Chris and the others" I replied walking towards her.

Lizzie dropped her arms as she pouted.

"Come here" I said opening my arms and she walked quickly towards me.

"I don't know what I'll do without you" She said with a sob.

"It's not like I'm going to disappear from your life, Liz" I said stroking her back.

"You're going to move thousands of kilometers away, Alex" She said raising her head to look at me "We won't see each other often"

"You can always come visit us" I said kissing her forehead "And we will do the same"

"When are you guys leaving?" She asked sighing.

"Next year, when Rose is on vacation" I replied softly.

Lizzie hugged me again hiding her head in my neck.

"Knock, knock" We heard Scarlett say.

We both separated a few inches and I saw the tears falling down Lizzie's cheeks.

"What happened?" Scarlett asked worried.

"My mother, that happened" I said laughing "Lizzie knows we're moving"

"Oh honey" Scarlett said softly.

She walked over to us and joined our hug.

"I think it's a good time to give you some good news" Scarlett said during the hug and I could hear the emotion in her voice "I'm pregnant"

Lizzie and I broke away from the hug abruptly. Scar had a huge smile on her face as we looked at her confused.

"How?" I asked stupidly.

"Well, you know" Scarlett began to say seriously "You and I had sex and you came inside me many times"

"Iug" We heard Liz say "I don't want to know that"

"You're pregnant" I said now with a huge smile as I hugged her.

"Yes, honey" She answered softly "I am one month pregnant"
