Chapter 10

Okay, we can start by talking about the fact that Scarlett has me totally confused. Let's remember the facts, first she tells me that her heart never stopped beating for me and second, she totally freaked out when we kiss. So... What the fuck is going on?

I'm obviously upset about the situation, we haven't spoken since that day and Harry has taken over working with them lately.

But all that is going to change today, since I have to see her for Rose's birthday. Arriving at the entrance of what was once my house, I met Lizzie and Robbie.

"Alex, nice to see you again" Robbie said giving me a tight hug.

"I must say the same, buddy" I replied with a smile "Lizard, I missed you" I said now hugging my best friend.

"Me too, but we'll have time to catch up again" She said with a smile "Did you come alone?"

"No, not really" I said looking at the woman who had just got out of the car.

"Victoria!" Lizzie said excited.

Yes, I brought Victoria to the birthday party. After talking calmly, we decided to run for the health and continue with our friendship. And when I told her that Rose had invited her to her birthday, she got really excited.

"Elizabeth" Victoria said with a thick Italian accent.

"Please, we are far from formalities now" Lizzie said laughing "Call me Lizzie"

"Only if you call me Vic" She said smiling and Lizzie nodded.

"I want to introduce you to my husband, Robbie" Lizzie said excitedly "Robbie, this is Victoria, an old friend and Alex's ex" She said laughing.

They both shook hands. Before the conversation could continue, the door was flung open.

"AUNTIES" Rose shouted excitedly "UNCLE ROBBIE"

"Happy Birthday little one" I said taking her in my arms "You are so big. You turned twelve, right?" I said making her laugh.

"No Alex, I turned eight" She said laughing. Rose began to greet the others and was excited to see Victoria.

"Nice to finally meet you" Victoria said kneeling to be at Rose's height. They both hugged each other and we all looked at them in aw.

"Piacere di conoscerti, zia Vic" Rose said and I could see Victoria's emotion in her eyes when she heard how Rose had called her. (Nice too meet you, auntie Vic)

"Wait, when did you learn Italian?" Lizzie asked surprised.

"During quarantine. Alex taught me Italian every time we had a video call" Rose said as if it was nothing.

"She's a very smart girl" A raspy voice said "Rose, why don't you let them in?"

The little girl nodded and we all started to go inside. Scarlett started to say hello one by one until it was my turn.

"Mmm, Scarlett this is Victoria" I said introducing them "Vic, this is Scarlett"

"A pleasure, Scarlett" The Italian said with a hard tone that made her accent stand out even more.

"The pleasure is mine" Scarlett said "And I'm glad you could come"

We went out into the garden where we met some famous friends of Scarlett's and some of Rose's classmates.

"Marchetti" Said a man coming to my side.

"Jost" I said in a dry tone.

Vic, Lizzie, Robbie and Scarlett could tell how tense the atmosphere had become. Before everything got worse with some sarcastic comment on his part, America's ass came to save us.
