We were nervous backstage. I complained when I felt the pain in my hand from how hard my sister was holding it.
"Relax" I said trying to release my hand from her grip.
"And the last finalist is..." The Principal said, pausing for a sec "Rose Dauriac"
"YEEES" I yelled excitedly.
Rose ran towards us and her smile melted my heart.
"I'm so proud of you" I said giving her a big hug.
"Thank you for helping me" She said softly.
"Guys, now there is a 30-minute break, so you can change your clothes and get what you need on stage" Said the girl in charge and we nodded.
We had installed the drum set before arriving and we only had to change our clothes. I put on a black tank top, some jeans of the same color and some vans.
As we listened to one of the finalists sing, we noticed someone approaching us.
"Good luck Rose, you're going to need it" Said a girl with a wicked smile.
I frowned and looked at Rose who had a sad face.
"Hey, ignore her" I said getting up to her level "You'll do amazing"
"What if I ruin the song?" She asked nervously.
"You will do great little one" I said placing my hand on her cheek "Just enjoy and you have to know that for me you are already a winner"
Rose nodded and took my hand again when I got up.
Scarlett POV
The second participant finished singing and finally it was Rose's turn.
"I'm very nervous" I said biting my nails.
"Now we present the last participant" The Principal said excited "Rose Dauriac"
I saw Rose enter the stage and I opened my mouth in surprise to see how she was dressed. She was wearing black pants, white vans, a white t-shirt and a leather jacket, while her hair had two messy braids and her face had a star make-up on the part of her eye.
She walked over to the microphone and pick up the guitar that I immediately recognized. It was the guitar that Alex gave her for Christmas.
On the left side of her was Robbie with his guitar, also in a rock style, on the other side of her was Harry with the bass and Sofia next to him on another microphone.
I looked to where the drums were and I couldn't help but feel a warmth between my legs when I saw Alex on the drums.
"Oh my fucking god" I said in a breath.
"Are you OK?" Lizzie asked suddenly "You look a little flushed"
"Yes, I'm perfectly fine" I said, avoiding her gaze.
I felt a little jealous when I heard the women behind me talk about how sexy Alex looked when she started drumming with her foot. It was a slow, familiar rhythm. When I heard Rose's voice I couldn't help but start to cry and notice what song she was singing.
"OMG" Lizzie said taking my hand.
"I've followed my heart into the fire

I couldn't stop smiling and crying with emotion listening to my daughter sing and seeing how she perfectly played the chords of Set It All Free.
