Marriage vows
are most important
in those moments
when they are
most difficult
to keep.~
Jisoo hurriedly navigated her way back home, eager to pick up her kids for Minseok's preschool musical. Balancing life as a mother of six and the CEO of her own healthcare firm in Korea kept her on her toes. Over the past three years since her marriage, she was proud of all she had achieved, yet she faced her share of challenges. She made a concerted effort to be there for her children. As she pulled into the driveway, she quickly hopped out of the car and dashed toward the front door.
"Eomma!!!" her nearly four-year-old triplets shouted in delightful unison as they spotted her entering the house.
"My little ones! How are you doing?" Jisoo exclaimed, crouching down to plant kisses on their cheeks.
"Good! Look... l...llookkk...we're... ready!!" one of the boys stammered excitedly, tugging at his shirt to show off their outfits. Jisoo couldn't help but laugh and nodded appreciatively.
"I can see, my sweet boy! You all look fantastic for your brother's play! Such wonderful boys!" she said, tousling Minsoo's hair affectionately. With a swift motion, she scooped up her other son, Minho, and headed toward the kitchen.
"Welcome back, Jisoo!" Aeri, the children's nanny, greeted warmly. Jisoo returned the smile and gave a slight bow of her head in acknowledgment.
"Hi, Aeri! Thank you for getting them ready so quickly! Are Jeonghun and Seoyeon all set too? I can't seem to find them," Jisoo asked, a hint of concern in her voice. Aeri smiled and nodded reassuringly.
"Yes, they're ready! They're just upstairs finishing their homework," Aeri replied.
"Oh, great! I'll go call them. Thanks!" Jisoo said, hurrying up the stairs.
"Jeonghun! Seoyeon! Let's go, kids! We'll miss your brother's musical if we don't leave now!" Jisoo called out from the second floor. Seoyeon promptly emerged from her room, her face lighting up with a smile as she spotted her mother.
"Eomma... you're home!" Seoyeon exclaimed, rushing toward Jisoo for a warm hug. Jisoo beamed at her daughter's enthusiasm and gently rubbed her back.
"How was school today, my sweetheart?" Jisoo inquired. Seoyeon's face scrunched up slightly at the question.
"Ugh, it was fine, Eomma! But I really can't stand my new language teacher! Can you believe I have to turn in an essay every single day now? I don't even have time to watch TV!" Seoyeon complained, burying her face in Jisoo's chest. Jisoo couldn't help but chuckle at her daughter's dramatic expression. She quickly set Minho down on the floor.
"Seoyeon! At the end of the day, you do enjoy that subject, don't you?" Jisoo asked with a knowing smile. Seoyeon shyly smiled and nodded her head just a little.
