ONE YEAR LATER

“Taeil,” Y/N calls Taeil just as he turns to lay on his side. His eyes remain closed and his breathing is still steady, reflecting one of a sleeping person. This causes Y/N to frown as she sits up straight on the bed. She glances at the dialogue clock on her bedside, seeing that the time is 4am. She lowers her eyes to her belly with a pleasingly, attractive round size which contains a nine month old infant.

About three months after Taeil and Y/N went down on each other, with Y/N seducing him, to Taeil breaking her virginity, the happily married couple decided that they were ready. They were finally ready to bring a new family member to the world, which will come off as a symbol of their love and everlasting relationship. Within the months of her pregnancy, Taeil spoiled her, so much so that it almost became annoying. Gyeong Hee and Taeyong, too, spoiled her. But the cherry on top was the guys, Taeil and Taeyong’s friends, who wouldn’t stop coming over to their house nearly every day to make sure she is doing well.

Who could have thought that Jaehyun would go on his knees in front of Y/N just to talk to the baby in her stomach?

Everyone, including her parents, his parents and Taeyong’s parents, had been on her case for every single thing. At times it was sweet and other times it was just plain irritating. She wasn’t allowed to eat certain foods. She wasn’t allowed to dye her hair. And she even got shouted at, multiple times, when she caught a cold or got sick. She didn’t have to be told more than ten times in a minute not to trip on the steps. She didn’t have to be told more than ten times that she shouldn’t walk near the microwave. And she certainly didn’t need anyone escorting her to either the bathroom or the kitchen.

She felt as if most of her personal space had been invaded dismally during this pregnancy. She also took note of her increased attitude and growing aggressiveness. She has never thrown a fit at anyone, let alone act up. But ever since she got pregnant she has become a bit aggressive with either her actions or her emotions. She would argue with Taeil more than ever, she would mess up the house for small things – such as losing a pen and searching to no avail – she would be rude towards anyone at any place and any time.

To people, after showing them a harsh version of herself, they thought and assumed that she was shameless and a corrupt lady. Some even started rumors about her being ‘a gold digger’ and finally showing ‘her true colors’. But she isn’t a gold digger, nor is her attitude like that. Did they know that she was barely in control of herself? No, they didn’t. Yes, she could feel herself talking rudely or aggressively and yes, she felt herself acting up and breaking whatever she could get her hands on. But she had no control over herself.

Fortunately for her, Taeil understood that it was just a phase that some ladies go through when pregnant, so he didn’t take it to heart. To Taeil – who was beyond happy to see her beautiful stomach that wasn’t extremely huge or in a humongous size even when she was around eight months pregnant – it was a surprise when he figured that although his wife has a sexy stomach size when pregnant, the baby in there is causing so much mood swings to her. Nevertheless, whenever she’d cry at night because of the guilt she felt for having no self-control, he was always there to comfort her. And she couldn’t be more thankful to have someone like Taeil in her life. Gyeong Hee, as well, was very lenient with Y/N’s tantrums and funny attitude. She didn’t take offense to every single thing that Y/N would start a fight about because she was convinced that the behavior Y/N displayed was the personality of the baby in her womb. It was a custom belief that her grandfather’s tribe followed.

But that isn’t true, that’s what Taeyong and Taeil said because they know better.

Two months before now, Y/N remembers how she could feel herself coming back together. She was back to being obedient, gentle, and not aggressive to which everyone who had been in contact with her during that phase was greatly thankful.
