"Kun bro!"
Startled by Xiao De Jun barging in our room, I close Kun's phone to focus on him. I take a quick glance over at Kun then at Xiaojun again. He looks from me to Kun while running a hand through his hair.
"Wuolai. Wuolai, she's here and she's-" Xiao De Jun pauses when Kun holds the laptop and puts it between us.
"Qian Wuolai?" He repeats in disbelief, so I turn my head to look at him. He looks at me for a moment then stands up, a wide grin on his face.
I start wondering who on earth could Wuolai be, and why Kun is excited. Could it be a close friend, relative? I cannot be too sure, and I do not know which is weirder - guessing it is one of the boy's girlfriend or watching Kun and Xiao De Jun enjoy the news.
"May I know, as well, who Qian Wuolai is?" I ask rather awkwardly.
Kun turns to me. For a moment I swear a glint of excitement lingered in his eyes as he stared at me, that is until he speaks. "My sister's here, Mei Ling."
The name of his previous girlfriend slips from his mouth. It is only then when I realise that he has not forgotten her yet, similar to how I have not forgotten Taeil. However, no matter how much I do not want to admit it, it poked my heart. I am his future wife. I already have a title, a title that confirms I am close to being his. Yet he still holds her in his heart. Had he not already decided to focus on me alone instead of his ex girlfriend?
I do not understand what is the reason that I feel this way. Although I do not love or care for him as much as I love and care for Taeil, something about him mistaking me for some other woman squished the little pride I have.
I push myself off the bed and look at him. He takes in my appearance for the second time, this time his expression ascends to one of confusion then disappointment. It seems like he realises that I am Y/N now. Though the expression he has, creased forehead, lowered eyes and a slight frown. It hurts, for some unknown reason.
It makes me feel bad. Unsure if I feel more disgraced or more ashamed of myself, I lower my head, not having enough confidence to look at him again.
"Y/N," Xiao De Jun calls me, "Woulai is Si Cheng's girlfriend, as well as Kun's step sister." he explains.
"I see," is all I manage to let out. The disappointment is evident in my tone. And if I am wrong for wanting Kun to feel bad about his choice of names, then I am also wrong for excusing myself to the washroom.
An exaggerated sigh leaves my mouth as I dramatically slide down the wall near the shower. When staring at the open shower door, I decide to step in. "It's been a long day for just 6pm."
Spending at least an hour in the steamy shower after showering made me glad to get away from the tension I had created for myself. At the most, the idea of Kun addressing me as someone I was not becomes more of a distant thought. The wash up really does things to me, especially in times of unhappy emotions.
I dry myself with a towel and step out of the bathroom, only to find a new figure sitting on Kun's side of the bed. Since the make-up table's mirror sat nearby, I am able to see her reflection. She notices me as well, and so she stands up. Twirling around like a princess, her eyes land on mine with a particular grace.
"Y/N, correct?" she asks surely.
Bedazzled by her beautiful appearance, I see through her words. She has this pure skin tone, clear skin, long dyed grey hair, model height, slim figure. Just perfect. Her make-up can even be mistaken as one for an idol. Can this possibly be Woulai?
"I'm Woulai." She introduces herself as she walks around the bed to get to me, who's standing in front of the bathroom with a towel around myself. "I heard that you're Kun's new wife, love." She states with an awfully amazing squeal.
