Chapter 33

Riley p.o.v

I sat down next to Viv on the couch. We spoke for ages, just having a catch up about everything. She told me all about her euro campaign and I spoke about my tour. Ive missed talking to her. "what was your best tour night?" Viv says to me. I take a minute to think. "I loved going to all the different countries. Crowd wise my favourite was my last show in Manchester. The crowd were so loud. Venue wise my favourite had to be Rome. It was beautiful there." Viv listens to me and smiles. "what was your favourite moment from the euros?" i ask Viv. "foods ready." Beth shouts through to us. "tell you later." Viv says and we make our way to the kitchen.

Leah p.o.v

Riley is in the livingroom with Viv, me and Beth are making some dinner for us. As Riley hasn't been eating properly or taking care of herself we went with a nice pasta and side salad. Nothing too heavy but it should hopefully build up her energy. "I knew she looked tired in Manchester." I say to Beth. Still cutting up the salad. "yeah I knew something was off too. I'm glad you convinced her to come here. She does need people to take care of her." I hope we can get her back to how she was. "what's the living arrangements then? Are you both sleeping in your bed?" Beth wiggles her eyebrows at me and smirks. "shut up Beth, no. I'll sleep on the couch and she can have my bed. I don't know what she wants when it comes to me but I can't focus on that I need to be there for Riley, as a friend." Beth laughs. "she said your name when she woke up, even if it was just to turn off the light." Beth laughs at the reminder of a half conscious Riley. I can't help but laugh too. "yeah I really hurt her though, I don't think I could ever ask for her back after what I did. I think I've really lost her." Beth laughs again. It's not fucking funny. "leah, you are so dilusional. Riley is here. Right now. Of all places she could go and trust me I know she's had offers to stay with some of the arsenal girls, some of the lionesses, your mum has offered. I also know the offer for her to move to America from sony is also on the table. Yet she chose here. She chose to be with you. Not only that, the girl literally travelled back and forth from other countries daily just to keep a promise to you she made when you were together. A promise she could've broke because she wasn't yours anymore, but she went to every game, alone. She didn't make a big song and dance about it. She didn't distract you whilst you had this tournament. She has done everything with you in mind. I bet you, she still hasn't once raised her voice to you or gotten annoyed with you. I bet you she doesn't even see you doing anything wrong to her, and leah you did do wrong. You fucked up but you know you fucked up. Riley will never see you as someone not worth fighting for. She will never see you as someone that's hurt her because she's that type of person. You need to be the one to show her that you aren't just going to leave her everytime you overthink. You need to prove your love to her because she definitely has proved her love to you. Especially when she wasn't even yours." when Riley collapsed I called Viv and Beth to come to the hospital, that's when I told Beth what happened, why Riley went to Scotland and even Beth started to cry. She thought Riley had hurt me, she thought Riley was hiding something. Just like I did but when I told her why Riley was there, she felt guilty. I know she's mad at me. I know everyone is mad at me for how I treated Riley, everyone is mad at me, but Riley. "how do I win her back and apologise and promise never to do that again?" "time.
