The next day
Colby's POV

"So he knows that something will happen to me? Why didn't you tell me you were going to see him babe?" I asked Y/n who was sitting on the bed in front of me.

It's been a day since Y/n had the vision and to be honest, I hadn't taken it well.

I've been researching what I could turn into out of curiosity but what I've seen all leads up to a vampire.

"I knew you would've wanted to go with me but I couldn't have taken you" she said.

"Have you even found anything out?" She asked.

"Well yes technically... but they aren't even real so I'm not gonna believe it" I replied.

"What do you mean? What's not real?" She asked again.

"Everything shows me a vampire. I'm not gonna fall for the internet, they are a mythical legend and they aren't real, that's all there is to it" I said and shrugged.

"But what if they are? Okay so get this. My moms parents, my mamoo and pop pop, they had this thing and it was like super strength, their eyes glowed golden brown and they went out at night to come back in the morning all energized. They never slept and were always sensitive to human blood. They never ate in front of anyone either" she explained.

"Are they still alive?" I asked with wide eyes.

"Yeah. Well, my pop pop is, mamoo passed away from murder, she was hunted and they never found the killer" she told me.

"Do you think we could go talk to him?" I asked.

"Well he's a 80 year old man that lives by himself in Illinois but yes. Let me see if he still has the same number" she said and pulled out her phone, dialing a number.

"Pop pop? Hey this is Y/n, your granddaughter... remember?" She said into the phone.

I sighed in relief that he answered.

"Hey, do you think that my boyfriend and I could come visit you? I'll let you meet your great grand babies and we have Amara" she said.

"Yes, you have two. Amara is safe and sound, she's happy now" she laughed.

"Okay pop pop, can you tell me your address and I'll write it down" she said.

She reached for a pen and paper from the kitchen counter and wrote it down.

"Thank you pop pop, I love you, bye" she said and hung up.

"I'll check flights to Illinois now" I said and pulled out my phone.

Once I did my research, I found a flight out in 2 days. "Alright 2 days to pack and get Amara on board" I said and she nodded, heading upstairs.

"Daddy I'm hungry" Ryker said as he leaned his head on my knee.

"Come on buddy" I said and stood up, picking him up.

"Mads!" I called and her little pitter patter feet came running with Gypsy and Finn behind her as she giggled.

"You hungry?" I asked and she smiled, "yeah! Yeah!" She squealed to me.

"Okay, what do you two want?" I asked them.

"Chicken nuggets!" They said in unison causing me to laugh.

"Okay, go get some cartoons turned on for you and your brother, I'll bring it to the table when its done" I told Maddie and set Ryker down on the floor as I watched them run off.
