Chapter 13

"How did you-" he started before I cut him off.

"I didn't. Now, I gotta go, love you guys" I said and hung up.

I marched my happy ass to the cashier and looked at his name tag.

"Alright uh- Cameron, who the hell are you and how did you know that would happen?" I asked and he held a finger up to me as he talked to another person behind the counter.

He took his apron off and grabbed both, me and Colby by our shoulders.

"Look, I was sent to watch over you all. Your Y/n and your Colby, Sam and Kat are your best friends and I know Alex, Amara, Jared, Genevieve, Jensen, Danneel and Misha. Before you ask if I know anything else, yes I know what you all are" he said in one breath.

I scrunched a brow at him. "Alright your really fucking odd. Do you know anything about why your looking over us all?" Colby asked.

"A man, a part of Y/n's family. He showed up in my apartment after my shift one night and told me I was chosen to be the watcher over you all" he said.

"What the hell? Give me your phone" Colby said and Cameron handed it over.

Colby put his number in and pushed the phone to Camerons chest.

"We will talk later. Do not mention this to anyone" he gritted his teeth at Cameron.

He scurried back to to the counter and we left.

"This is so weird babe" I said as we drove back to the house.

"Yeah. Look I'm gonna drop you off at the house and I'm gonna go talk to Sam" he said.

"No, take me to Jensen or Jared's, let me tell them" I said and he nodded.

"I'm going to Sam's first and then you can take the truck and go there. For now, chillax until later and I'll text you when to come get me so we can go out" he said.

"Okay" I smiled and grabbed his hand.

I connected my phone to the aux and played Skin.

"She said 'you don't know me.' Sharp words that I just can't believe. Fake friends, or wannabe's, we smile and lie behind our teeth. So unzip my soul and let me be, the person, nobody else sees. Under the lights its hard to breathe, but I'm holding it in now. Cause I can't forgive myself, if I'm just a servant to my pain. Fake face, I'm not well. With this pill I don't wanna taste. And you'll never know what's real, your on the outside looking in. To only what I reveal, you're not gonna get under my skin" we sang.

After that song was over, I played Brother by NEEDTOBREATHE since Colby insisted I sing it alone.

"Ramblers in the wilderness, we can't find what we need. We get a little restless from the searching, get a little worn down in between. Like a bull chasing the matador, is a man left in his own schemes. Everybody needs someone beside em, shining like a lighthouse from the sea. We soon arrived at Sam and Kat's and we got out.

"I love you, I'll call or text you when to pick me up, be safe" Colby said and kissed my head.

"Okay, I love you more" I told him and pecked his lips before hopping in the drivers seat.

I waved to Sam and Kat who were standing at the front door and pulled off in the direction to go to their neighborhood.
