Chapter 37

Once Ryker and I walked back with the dogs, Sam looked at me and then looked down.

"Your arm, it's bleeding" he said.

I lifted my arms and seen blood from bite marks on my left wrist- the wrist Finn was trying to pull me from the water with.

I must've not have felt it with dealing with them.

"You can get back in now" I told Ryker.

"Uh yeah so Diesel was stuck in the water and Finn was trying to help him out so I got in there but got stuck so the dogs pulled me out and Finn accidentally bit my wrist I guess" I said.

"Wow, I could've came down there" he said.

I shook my head at him as I got back in the water with Gunnar on my hip.

"No, no it's alright" I said and let the water wash it away.

It was now dark outside and the kids had all gone to bed, Riley as well.

The rest of us ladies were in the kitchen at the moment though.

"How's life back home?" Gen asked.

"Complicated. That's why Riley and I made this trip work together with the rest of the girls" I said with a smile.

"And the hubbies?" Danneel asked.

"Well they are actually gone to Montana for the next couple weeks, a getaway from LA trip as well" Kat responded.

"Nice. Alex what about you? Met anyone?" She asked.

"Well my ex and I have been on and off but as of right now are split up" she said, talking about Tate.

Colby and I didn't realize it until a few months after but she was dating Tate- well we knew that.

But we didn't know it was the bodyguard Tate- the mafia Tate- the one who helped with the Brennen situation Tate.

But we found out and yeah, they've been on and off.

"Oh well I hope things get better with the lucky guy" Gen said.

"And I can't help but notice how glowy you three are!" Danneel exclaimed.

It was true, Kat, Alex and I had been taking better care of ourselves the last little bit.

Just trying to overcome some of the stress and pain in our lives by putting some extra work into the love we have for ourselves.

"Thank you Dee, we try" I said with a smile.

"And what about your 30th birthday? That's a big deal!" Gen asked.

"Ah, my 30th... only a few weeks ago. Well it feels good to be 30 but not to see my kids get older" I said and laughed.

"Tell us about it" Danneel scoffed playfully.

"I actually wanted to tell you guys something" Katrina said and I raised a brow.

"You're pregnant aren't you?" I asked and she shook her head.

"No, but I think Sam is proposing soon. He's been making odd calls to some jewelry store and saying its about his sister's necklace that she left. Said he wanted to trade it in for something newer, more special but what he doesn't know is I seen his laptop" she said.

"Oh cute! What was on his laptop?" Alex asked.

"Multiple pictures of rings and size guides" she said.
