I took a breath and quickly walked out to the truck.
Clif went in my mind so I called him first.
"Ello" he answered, "Clif hey, Y/n and I aren't gonna be able to make it tonight. I'm sorry man" I said.
"Hey it's alright. What's going on?" He asked.
"She is on the way to the hospital right now to try and get the baby's heart rate lowered to normal so we will most likely be there for a while" I explained.
"Oh shit dude, that's not okay. I hope everything goes okay for you three. And don't worry about it, we can talk some other time" he told me.
"Thank you man, I really appreciate it" I said. "Yeah for sure, I'll call later to check in on y'all" he said.
"Alright, thanks again" I told him before hanging up.
I started the truck and put my phone in the holder that sat against the dash.
"Hey siri, facetime Sam" I said and the call popped up.
"Facetiming, Sam" Siri said as it rang.
He answered as I drove.
"Yo, what's up?" He answered.
"Hey man, I know you are on your way back from Kansas but uh- Y/n is actually 26 weeks pregnant- we found that out a bit ago" I said.
"Wow... 26?" He asked.
"Yeah and I'm currently driving to the hospital because the baby's heart rate was beating too rapidly so the clinic rushed her in an ambulance" I said.
"Fuck man, you want me to send Kat down?" He asked.
"No, no. We need this time for just us so not now" I said.
"Okie dokie then. Look, I hope everything is alright with them both and they get things back to normal" he said.
"Yeah me too" I agreed with a sigh.
"Hey look, my plane is about an hour out so I'll come down as soon as you want me to" he told me.
"Alright, just let me know when your home, bye" I said and hung up.
I made more calls to Ginger, Zach, Mike, my family and a few more friends before I reached the hospital.
I got out of the truck and went to the front desk.
"Y/n Brock, it's my wife" I said to the receptionist.
"Room 373, she may not be in right at the moment but she will be soon" she told me and I nodded.
I made my way through the halls and the elevators where I seen Y/n was laying back in the bed just now.
"Colby" she sighed in relief as she seen me.
"Hey, what's happening?" I asked as I glanced between she and the doctor.
"Mr. Brock, your wife was just in the pregnancy care center with an ultrasound. The baby's hear rate is still very high so I'm about to start her on an IV of Digoxin which should hopefully bring the fetal heart rate down to normal" he explained.
"And if it doesn't?" I asked.
"Emergency c-section in a possibility, as well as an overnight stay and she will be on meds for a while" he said.
Wait- wait- wait- emergency c-section?!
I stayed by her side as the doctor started the IV.
He also put a monitor around her stomach to detect anything wrong.
