Chapter 28

The next morning
Maddie's POV

Today was the day mommy and daddy would get married. They talked about this a lot and I helped mommy with a few flower ideas for the wedding.

It's early in the morning and poppa just woke me up.

"Ready to go see your momma and daddy?" He asked and I nodded, getting out of bed.

We went downstairs and I seen mimi holding Gunnar and then I seen Ryker letting the doggies out of their kennels.

Mommy and daddy don't think I realize but I know we all had signature dogs... when Gypsy was here.

Chance is mommy's, Gypsy was daddy's, Finn is Ryker's and Gunnar's and then Diesel is mine.

"Come on you guys, let's load up" mimi said as poppa got the dogs on their leashes.

Ryker and I ran out to the car and got in, buckling ourselves into our carseats.

Mimi put Gunnar in his and strapped him in before entering the passenger side.

Poppa put the dogs in the trunk since it was big enough for them and then we were driving.

Y/n's POV

When I woke up, I smiled to myself and remembered today is the big day.

The date is September 20th, the year is 2028.

I got out of bed and the girls were scrambled out across the kitchen, making breakfast.

"Goodmorning to the beautiful bride!" Alex called out happily as she spotted me.

"Goodmorning" I responded.

I sat at the island in my silk pajamas and a plate of eggs, bacon and french toast was sat in front of me.

The girls and I all ate and as I put my plate away, the door opened revealing Pat with Maddie, Ryker and Gunnar.

"My babies!" I squealed and crouched down on the floor to hug Ryker and Maddie. Pat put Gunnar on the floor and he crawled to me smiling so I brought him into my lap and kissed his cheek.

"There's my boy" I said as I stood up. Ryker clung to my leg and I let my free hand travel down to his hair, running my fingers through it.

"The dogs are with Robert over there" Pat said, motioning to the guys' house.

"Wanna go see daddy?" I asked them and they all perked up.

"Mads, you wanna take Gunnar over?" I asked and she nodded so I handed her baby brother to her and they walked outside. "Alex baby, it's good to see you. How's Florida?" Pat asked her daughter who came over.

"Good, really good momma" she said and hugged her. The girls all greeted Pat and we all went upstairs to the room I would get ready in.

"Devyn, Ginger, is Y/n's shower ready?" Tara asked them and they nodded so I went in and stripped out of my pajamas and began showering.

Colby's POV

My dad walked in with Chance, Finn and Diesel and they ran over to me, excited to see me.

"Hi, hello boys, I know" I said as I pet them.

"Goodmorning dad" I said to him, "goodmorning son. Big day today... how are you feeling?" He asked.
