Chapter 3

The next day
Y/n's POV

We woke up to knocking on the door. Colby was up late last night, talking with Sam since he and Kat stayed the night.

Colby groaned and I placed a hand on his arm, "I got it" I said and slid out of bed.

I did a quick look in the mirror and as I walked downstairs, I took my hair out of its messy bun and let my long hair flow over my shoulders.

I opened the door to see Luca standing in the corridor.

"Luca? Hi, come in" I said and opened the door wide enough for him to walk through.

He sat down on our couch and I sat across from him.

"Sorry if I woke you guys up, I know its early" he said and I leaned my head to the side.

"Luca. Why are you here at 6 in the morning?" I asked.

"Right. I just wanted to say we spotted a guy who looked to be this Brennen dude who was very beat up" he said, his thick puerto rican accent falling from his mouth.

"Really? When?" I asked.

"Around half an hour ago. We were driving around town doing other business and he was standing outside a home in Los Angeles talking with a guy. But here's the important part, he was talking with him and I heard your name" he explained.

"Huh. That does not surprise me" I said and looked away as I heard shuffling in the backyard.

"Stay right here" Luca said as he stood up and walked to the back door.

He looked back at me and I sent him a nod before he opened the door and walked away, his hand on something attached to his hip. Probably a gun.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked as he pulled his gun out and pointed.

"Woah man! Calm down!" A voice shrieked, sounding to be Sam's.

"Sam?" I asked as I raced out the back.

"Yes damnit. Who is that?" He asked as he stood with his hands up, Finn and Gypsy's leashes in his hand.

"Okay Luca. You can trust him. He's Colby's best friend and he knows" I said as I placed a hand on top of his gun, lightly pushing it down.

"This is one of the men, Luca" I said as I stood between the two.

"It's 6AM. Why is he here?" He asked me.

"It's 6AM, why're you walking the dogs?" Luca asked sarcastically as he put his gun back into its holster on his hip.

"Because they needed to" Sam snapped and I laughed on the inside.

"Thank you" I said to Sam and he walked inside.

"Okay who all do I need to be watchful for?" Luca asked me.

"So that's Sam. His girlfriend Katrina is inside, she has black hair and is usually with him. Theres Zach who is Amara and I's brother, he visits so I'll let you guys know when he's in town" I said.

"Uhh, that should be it for now. I will let you know of any others" I said and he nodded.

"Luca, we got news on the target. He's heading to the airport to fly to Florida. Oh hey Y/n" Duke said as he popped his head around the corner.

"Hey Duke. Wait- Florida? Alex is there, he's after her. You guys need to follow him or stop him" I said as realization set in.

"We will be back later, we gotta go" Luca said and he hopped the fence and went with Duke as they left.
