Chapter 36

Its been almost 2 weeks since Riley went to the party and she's been fine, acting normal.

Colby and I have kept a close look on her just to be sure and she seems to be doing okay.

She and I have been tracking her period and it's supposed to start in 4 days so we will see what happens then but right now, us girls were going on a little road trip.

Us girls being me, Maddie, Riley, Kat, Gracyn and Alex. Oh and we also brought Motley and Chance along.

Sam, Benson, Ollie, Colby, Ryker and Gunnar took Finn, Codi and Diesel and went on a small trip as well.

We invited Alex because she was back in town from Florida and she and I are close again.

But here I am, driving the Impala down an empty country road as were passing through Flagstaff, AZ.

"Momma I want a car like this one day" Maddie said.

"Well then, we might just see about it" I said with a smile and she squealed.

Kat and I were up front with Chance in the floorboard chewing on a ball. Gracyn was in her carseat in between us. Alex and Riley shared the backseat with Maddie and Motley.

"So where are the guys headed to?" Riley asked.

"They are going opposite of us and are driving out to Great Falls in Montana" Kat responded.

That's right. They were going to Great Falls, Montana for two weeks while we were going to travel down to North Carolina for two weeks.

Stopping in between and having a stay at different places.

We would also visit Danneel and their kids since they live there in Austin mostly.

The only real reason they were in Santa Monica is because Jensen is filming in LA right now so they were visiting him.

"See the thing I am jealous of is the fact that they are gonna be at waterfalls for the next couple weeks and we only have the beach" I said.

"And the lake. We should go to the lake" Alex said and I smiled.

"It's a date, I forgot about it" I said with a laugh.

I continued driving the Impala down the never ending road, passing areas Colby and I were at during our short honeymoon.

I felt a hand on my knee and seen Kat who gave me a reassuring smile.

I knew she knew what was running through my head during that very moment and I took a breath.

"I'm okay" I said and looked back at the road.

The sun was now setting and we still had about 4 1/2 hours left to drive in the morning until we got to Austin for a few days.

Were now in Conway, Texas. Through our stops along the way, this is the closest we could get.

"Alright time to check in. I really hope they let dogs in" I said and groaned.

"Right, it's been too damn long for them to say no" Alex said.

"Exactly" Riley agreed.

We walked in and the lady at the desk' jaw dropped.

"Oh goodness your Y/n and Alex and Kat and your little girls and your sister and the dogs" she said quickly, causing me to laugh.

"Yeah that's us" I said.

"Okay look. Normally, we don't allow pets but because I know who you guys are, I'll let you take them" she said with a smile.
