Chapter 39

It was around 7AM and the kids were finishing up their breakfast before Riley and I take them to school.

"Hey, Sam said something about us leaving Thursday or Friday" Colby told me.

"Oh okay" I said.

"You gonna be alright here?" He asked.

"Yes babe. I have Riley and I can call Ginger or Kat or someone if I need help" I said with a laugh.

It was terribly hard to keep the secret last night but Riley gave me ideas of how to tell Colby after the first appointment so I kept my mouth shut.

Ryker got up and put his plate in the sink.

"Brush those teeth and put some clothes on cause boxers is not a school outfit buddy" I said and he laughed before running upstairs.

"I'll be okay, I promise" I said and kissed Colby's lips.

"Gross" Riley said as she came downstairs, a bag of chips on her stomach.

"God is this what we're doing? I remember Y/n doing that on Christmas Eve with cookies when she was pregnant with Maddie" Colby laughed and I smiled.

"I remember that" I said.

Speaking of, Maddie brought her plate over to the sink.

"Go get dressed, I'll come curl your hair if you want?" I asked her as I kissed her forehead.

"Yes please" she said before scurrying off.

"I actually had the idea to go shop for the baby after we drop them off at school... is that okay?" Riley asked.

"Oh yeah! We need to run a few errands anyway, need to get a new camera since someone..." I trailed off and coughed.

"Broke ours" I said and looked at Colby, holding in a laugh.

"I admit, it was pretty funny though" he said and I shook my head.

A couple weeks ago, Colby had pushed me into Gen and Jared's pool while I was filming and he didn't realize.

"No, no it was not" I said.

"Well true because now we've had to use the sucky backup camera" he said.

"Exactly, not funny" I told him.

"Mom, can you do my hair in braids instead?" Maddie asked as she came down.

She was wearing black leggings with a grey crew neck that said 'natural beauty is key' and her air forces.

"Yeah baby, come here" I told her as I sat on the couch.

She handed me the rubber bands and she sat on the floor as I did her hair in two French braids down her head.

"Did you brush your teeth?" I asked and she nodded.

"Okay go grab your lunch box and water bottle" I said once I was done.

Ryker came downstairs in a pair of blue jeans and a flannel with a black T-shirt.

"You look cute bud. Did you brush?" I asked and he nodded smiling widely.

"Okay good. Get your lunch box and water bottle" I said.

It was now 7:30 and they got dropped off at 7:45.

"You ready Riley?" I asked and she nodded, putting her shoes on.

"Okay. Love you, we will be back" I told Colby and kissed him.

"Love you too, come here" he told me before waving the kids over.
