It's the night before graduation. My graduation.

I'm 18 now, Duke turned 19 in March and mine was last month.

And we have another dog. Her name is Kimber.

She was a shelter dog, only around 5 months old when we adopted her but now she's 8 months.

She's a gorgeous shepherd mix.

But tomorrow, I go into that school and I walk across that stage

But tomorrow, I go into that school and I walk across that stage.

We're all at the table eating dinner right now and I think Sam is about to do a speech.

Yep. He stood up.

"18 years ago, me, Colby, Y/n, Jake and Corey were all standing in Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and he told me she was pregnant, two weeks after making it official. I was ecstatic, happy. They were growing their family by two little feet and these past 18 years, I've watched my oldest niece grow into a beautiful young woman, taking looks after her mama of course" he said and I smiled.

"But tomorrow at this time, we watch you walk across that stage and grab that diploma. I couldn't be more proud and happy for my best friends family then now. We all know that even if Y/n isn't here physically, she's sitting right next to us tomorrow night watching her little girl. So Maddie, I love you so much and I'm so, so proud of you" he said.

I got up and hugged him with a bright smile.

"Damn I'm old, my first born is graduating" dad said, causing us all to laugh.

"Let me say something" Ryker said, standing up.

We all turned our attention to him and he cleared his throat.

"My big sister, your grown now. And as a little brother, I think it's my duty and all of our duty to keep our bond together as you move away. It's gonna be tough, separating after all these years together. Your all I had at a few points, and you're still one of my biggest supporters. But I promise by you, and by mom that even though your leaving soon to live your life, I'll live mine without a doubt of anything so I can be the next to walk that stage. Happy graduation Mads" he said and I smiled.

A few others went around and spoke until we all decided that after dinner, we'd go sit out back by the fire pit.

"Can I show off Kimber's tricks?" I asked.

"Go for it" dad told me.

She is in hardcore training, like a K9 almost.

But that was my doings, she's going to be my service dog for my anxiety.

"Kimber, off" I said and she sat.
