Chapter 77

"It's crazy seeing you guys here, I didn't even recognize you. Is this your baby?" She asked.

"Not by birth for me but for him yeah. This is my boyfriend, Duke" Maddie said.

"Duke, this is JJ, Jensen's daughter" Maddie said.

"Wow, a pleasure to meet you" they shook hands.

"How old are you guys now?" She asked.

"I'm 16 and Maddie is 17" I said.

"What?! You two grew up on me. Where are you headed to?" She asked.

"Texas actually, we're going to stay with our uncle, we were gonna visit your parents and Jared and Gen too" I said.

"No way, I'm headed there too. My husband is deployed right now out in Germany but we have a house in Virginia. Our first flight brought us here last night and we're taking our second to Texas" she said.

"This is actually insane seeing you. We haven't seen each other in like 5 years" I said.

"Yeah. You mind if I sit here?" She asked and we shook our heads.

I soon turned the camera off and we began talking about her husband, Kaden and their kids. Emery who is 3 and the baby she's about to have, Kinsley.

We then talked about Arrow and Zeppelin who are 19 and still live in Texas.

We were even more excited to see everyone and meet new additions to everyone's family.

We just didn't think or talk about Tom and aunt Riley's situation until JJ brought it up.

"So your aunt, you heard, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Dad came in town about a month ago and explained it. I talked to Tom that day but haven't spoken to him since, any updates on her?" Maddie asked.

"Well, she was on life support for like... 9 days I think? And then her levels went up so they took her off and she was doing good. And then last week, her heart rate spiked and they were worried something else would happen but nothing did. She is home with Tom and the kids and is taking it easy still... but I think you guys should visit her, it might make her feel better" she explained.

"Yeah, we'll have to go see" I nodded.

"Flight 417, route from Kansas to Austin, route Kansas to Austin" the intercom repeated.

"That's us, come on" Duke said.

In the time we were talking, Emery had been playing with me and she was the sweetest little girl ever.

So by the time our flight was called, she let me pick her up and carry her on there.

"Big plane, Luxe's first time flying!" Maddie exclaimed as he smiled at her.

Maddie had Tigger and Duke had the baby and Moose who was being surprisingly really calm.

He has anxiety with loud noises and there were a lot of people talking.

We found our seats and it turns out that JJ was two rows behind us.

We bought a full row which is six seats.

Duke and Maddie had the two seats with Luxe's car seat next to them.

And I had a seat with the animals which I didn't mind.

I had gotten an email from this bootcamp in Dallas that I was gonna visit. It was basic military training for pre enlisters.

Maddie doesn't know, but Duke and I were gonna go for 2 days.
