I do not own Harry Potter ... but if I did I would have roasted the hell out of the teachers for being bested by three first-years ... multiple times

A couple more weeks went by, and exams had finally begun.

Bel hadn't received any more mysterious notes.

She no longer had lessons with Dumbledore or duties in the forest with Hagrid.

Currently, she was just like every other student in Hogwarts.

And it felt slightly odd.

It was an uneasy feeling, like something was supposed to be happening, and because it wasn't, it would suddenly all spring itself upon her.

However, there was still one thing that separated her from the other students.

It was the same thing that separated Harry, Ron, and Hermione from them too.

The Philosopher's Stone.

So far, their mission had very much been put on hold in the lead up to exams.

Bel had spent little time around the three Gryffindors recently, as she had been too busy studying with her Hufflepuff friends for the tests she knew she would fail.

But knowing that she had the option of dropping classes next year took the pressure off her a lot.

However, she had neglected to tell anyone of her arrangements for next year.

There was simply never a free moment to discuss it when she did hang around Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Harry was always thinking about what on earth Professor Snape was up to, Ron was trying to coerce Bel into taking his Charms exam for him, and Hermione rarely looked up from her books.

When exams were over, she would tell them.

Even now was a perfect example of just how distracted her friends were.

"I'd always heard Hogwarts end of year exams were frightful, but I found that rather enjoyable", Hermione said as the group of four walked through one of the schools' courtyards.

"Speak for yourself", Ron muttered.

"I don't think I answered a single question right", Bel admitted.

History of Magic was not her strong suit.

Another subject that didn't involve using her wand.

Instead, it involved learning about wands.

And Bel knew all she needed to about her own.

At least, she thought she did.

"You alright there, Harry?" Ron asked and Bel looked to her right to see Harry once again rubbing his forehead.

"My scar. It keeps burning", Harry replied.

"It's happened before", Hermione chimed in.

"Not like this", Harry said.

"Perhaps you should see the nurse", Ron offered.

"I think it's a warning. It means danger's coming", Harry said.

Bel didn't need a warning to know for certain that danger was headed their way.

But she now had a fresh perspective on it.
