I do not own Harry Potter ... but if I did I would have included more languages where people could talk to animals, why do snakes get all the hype

The next morning, Herbology was cancelled as the winter snow had turned into a blizzard.

Each student in second year thus had free time.

Harry was sat in the Gryffindor common room as Ron and Hermione both played a game of wizard's chess.

He couldn't stop thinking about what had happened yesterday.

He had told the snake to stay away from Bel and her Hufflepuff friend.

But no one understood that because he hadn't spoken it in English.

Rather, in Parseltongue, which Hermione and Ron had both explained did not mean anything good.

It apparently was a trait of Slytherins, meaning he could be related to Salazar Slytherin himself.

Harry didn't think that was possible.

He was a Gryffindor.

The opposite of a Slytherin.

There was no way that he could be the descendant of that awful houses' creator.

But he was soon to discover that not everyone thought that.

The rumour that Harry was the descendant of Salazar Slytherin and thus the heir of Slytherin, and the one in control of the Chamber of Secrets, had run wild around the entire school.

But he wasn't aware of just how bad it was.

All he was aware of, however, was his need to speak to Bel and her friend.

It was all he could think about.

"For goodness's sake, Harry. Just go and find Bel and Riley if it's so important to you", Hermione said as she noticed Harry deep in thought.

As if Harry had been waiting for permission to do so, he immediately stood up and headed out of the common room to find the two girls.

He couldn't get into the Hufflepuff common room, of course, but he knew that Bel and her friends would spend some of their free time in the library.

He decided to try there first.

And he got lucky in doing so.

As he walked between the bookshelves, he heard the familiar voices of Bel's friends speaking.

He stood just around the corner, listening in on their conversation.

"So anyway, I've told Riley to stay up in our dorm today. I mean ... if Potter has marked her as his next victim, it's best if she keeps a low profile for a while. She is muggle-born, after all", the voice of Bel's competitive friend, Tia, whispered.

"You really think it is Potter, then?" one of Bel's other friends, Oliver, asked.

"Ollie, he's a Parselmouth. Everyone knows that's the mark of a dark wizard. Have you ever heard of a decent one who can talk to snakes?" Tia replied.

"He can't be that bad. May trusts him", Ollie said.

"She's blinded because they were friends last year. We both know she's too kind to believe that one of her friends could be the one behind these attacks. Besides, who knows what else Potter can do. He's probably got her under some sort of curse", Tia answered.
