I do not own Harry Potter ... but if I did Buckbeak would've made a return in the later films so we could catch up with his life

Bel had returned from quidditch practice just an hour ago.

It was April now, and the match between Hufflepuff and Slytherin was soon approaching.

Cedric's competitive side had really started to come out, telling Bel that quidditch should be her top priority.

It got so bad that Bel spoke to Dumbledore about her duties.

Until the game was over, he had taken her off dementor duty so that she could get proper rest and have more time for quidditch practice.

She was still on night duty, but only once a week instead of three times.

In truth, whilst it made her nervous being away from the situation, Bel was grateful for a break.

Everything had been so full on, not to mention stressful, and Bel did desperately want to get back at Malfoy.

This match would be the thing to do just that.

If Hufflepuff beat Slytherin, karma could wait a little longer to bring Malfoy's ego down a notch.

"When's the match, then? Next week?" Ollie asked as the group of four Hufflepuffs sat down in their common room.

Riley sat slightly closer to him these days, making Bel hold back a knowing smile.

"Yeah. Next Saturday", Tia replied, totally oblivious to everything.

"You sound nervous", Riley pointed out.

"Me? Nervous? Good joke, Ry", Tia chuckled.

"You looked like you were bricking it on the pitch today", Bel chimed in.

Tia shot her a glare, "I did not! I just ... I don't want us to lose."

"I think anyone who isn't a Slytherin doesn't want us to lose", Bel pointed out.

"I know ... but we need to win this match! If we beat Slytherin, we only have to take down Ravenclaw. They're an easy win!" Tia exclaimed.

"How about you focus on the Slytherin game first", Ollie soothed.

"Ollie's right. Stress will only get to your head and make you play worse", Riley backed him up.

"Since when do you agree with what Ollie has to say about quidditch? He can barely throw and catch! Not to mention you have money riding on us winning from your bets with Neville", Tia spat, letting her competitive short-temper shine through.

Bel saw Ollie shift slightly in his seat to scoot away from Riley, whilst also clenching his jaw a bit after Neville's name was mentioned.

"I – I just ... I think –", Riley stuttered out, trying to come up with a coherent argument.

"I think Ry wants us to win. And to do that we need our beater to have a level head", Bel chimed in.

Riley shot her a grateful look before nodding towards Tia.

"Oh I'll have a level head, all right. I'll be needing it to target Malfoy. You even said that I could", Tia said with a mischievous glint in her eye before she turned to Bel.

"I want to see him on the ground. I know you won't let me down", Bel replied in an alarmingly sinister tone.

"Never will", Tia said back, loving that Bel was finally allowing her to get as vicious as she could on the pitch.
