After a day of her first classes as a second year, Bel was back to her training with Dumbledore.

"He's totally useless! I mean, he left us to clear up his mess!" Bel exclaimed, continuing her long rant she had been on about Lockhart the second she had stepped into the headmaster's office.

"It sounds like a fortunate thing you decided to stay on with DADA this year, then", Dumbledore replied from behind his desk.

"I'm not the teacher, sir. Professor Lockhart is supposed to be. I thought taking DADA would allow me to take a break in a way. Apparently not", Bel complained.

"I'm assuming you aren't looking forward to joining the N.E.W.T DADA classes?"

"If it's Lockhart teaching, then I'm definitely looking forward to it less."

"Well, I'm sure it will all work out just fine. I can't imagine how Professor Lockhart could be any worse than Professor Quirrell", Dumbledore pointed out as he stood, walking over to the open area of his office.

"I wouldn't be so sure", Bel muttered to herself before turning around in her chair.

"What will I be undertaking this year, then?" she added, awaiting Dumbledores plans for her lessons.

"For now, little one, it will be business as usual. We will duel once a week, and you will practice wandless magic in my presence during the other lesson. With classes back, you have plenty of practice outside of our time together, not to mention the reduction in your curriculum means you can train on your own more often", Dumbledore started to explain.

For now?

What did he mean by that?

Sure, Bel had more control over her power now, but that shouldn't mean her training was put on hold from progressing.

"Today you'll be doing the latter", Dumbledore continued before Bel could interrupt.

As he did, Bel's mind shifted into another problem she had.

Now that school was back in session, she didn't want to carry out her duelling practice out in the open where other students could see.

It was fine over summer, as it was only ever professors who already knew about her duties that wandered past.

But if she were to stand outside and duel the headmaster of the school, passing students would, without question, spread the word.

After the sorting ceremony last year, it took a while for the whispers to quiet down.

The last thing Bel wanted was to give people a reason to start them up again.

"Sir, is there somewhere else on the school grounds we could duel instead of the courtyard?" Bel asked as she stood up from her usual seat.

"Do you recall the room I told you of last year?" Dumbledore replied as he started to scan his books shelves.

"The one that doesn't reveal itself unless you really have a need for it", Bel recalled.

"Well, now you have a real need for it, don't you?" Dumbledore said as he pulled out a large brown leather book from one of the centre shelves.

Add that to her list.
