The next day, classes began.

Bel was sat in the Great Hall eating breakfast with Riley, Ollie, and Tia on the Hufflepuff table.

Her timetable had her scheduled for an advanced DADA class that morning, whilst her three friends were all set to take Divination.

"I heard Professor Trelawny is an absolute nut case", Tia complained.

"She's part seer, apparently. It must be rather scary to see into the future. No wonder she's lost it a bit", Ollie replied.

"I'd love to be able to see the future. See what questions will come up in the end of year exams ... what plants I'll be growing in herbology ... what parties we will be attending now we're in third year", Riley started to list.

"Parties? What parties?" Ollie asked.

"You know, the parties held by the older students. We can finally be involved in the quidditch celebrations. I heard some of them are held on the quidditch pitch or just inside the forbidden forest. Mostly in common rooms, though", Riley answered.

"And exactly which parties will you be attending, Ry?" Bel asked.

"The Slytherin ones are most notorious. But we aren't really allowed into their common room unless invited. And I doubt Malfoy and his gang of miscreants will do that. The Hufflepuff ones aren't too bad, neither are the Gryffindor ones. But I heard Ravenclaw host after parties mostly", Riley explained.

"I'd rather cut my hand off than attend a Slytherin party", Tia muttered.

"Same here", Bel agreed.

"I mean ... I wouldn't complain. Apparently, they're able to sneak the most alcohol into the school. Fire whiskey and things like that", Riley said.

"Where on earth is this all coming from?" Ollie asked, shocked at Riley's sudden affinity for partying.

"I just think we should all be allowed to let loose. May ... you especially", Riley said as she pointed to Bel.

"I can already see where you're going with this, and my answer is no way", said Bel, not looking up from her breakfast plate.

"Oh come on, please", Riley begged.

"What's happening now?" Tia asked, confused.

"Ry wants me to get her into the Slytherin parties because I can get into their common room without invitation", Bel explained.

"It's like fate, how could you say no", Riley replied.

The next thing that happened gave Riley her answer.

As Harry, Ron, and Hermione all walked down the aisle to their seats on the Gryffindor table, the group of Slytherins present all started to pretend to faint.

"Hey, Potter! The dementors are coming, Potter!" Pansy Parkinson yelled from their table.

"Look out! I'm going to faint!" Theodore Nott added as he fell back into Blaise Zabini dramatically.

Each of them were snickering and pointing, their leader, Draco Malfoy, practically crying from laughter.

"That's how", Bel responded to Riley.

Her friend gave her a very sweet, begging pout.

"If they ever improve on their vile attitudes and behaviour, and once we are older than thirteen ... then I might consider sneaking you in there", Bel let up.
