"What happened?"
"I don't know, she started throwing up five minutes ago but it's just blood."
"Blood?"
"Yeah." Jay held the door open for Dr Rosewood, who rushed through Lennox's hospital room to find her in the bathroom.
She was leant over the sink, taking a few deep breaths as she recovered from the concerning amount of blood she'd just expelled into the basin.
"Are you alright sweetie?" Dr Rosewood asked, holding her shoulders as Jay appeared in the doorway.
"I'm okay." She nodded.
Jay held out a glass of water which she used to rinse her mouth out.
"She's not okay. That's the second time in 10 minutes." He looked at Dr Rosewood, who sighed as he felt Lennox's forehead.
"Her body must be rejecting the transfusion."
"Well you matched her blood type right?"
"Of course I did." The doctor gave Jay a glare, offended at the notion that he would make such a silly and dangerous mistake in his own daughter's treatment.
When Lennox gagged again, her father was quick to hold her hair back as Lennox emptied more blood into the sink.
"We need to remove the canula and replace it with IV fluids as quickly as possible. Dr Reynolds is a few doors down, have the desk page him, be as quick as you can." He instructed.
Jay ran off and returned just over a minute later with another man, the described Dr Reynolds.
