He understood her reasoning. If one of his closest friends was killed by some mysterious force he'd want to understand how and why it happened too. He found it too easy sometimes to empathize with Lennox, from past experiences on the force.
"What was your dream about?" He asked.
The question was unexpected, and caused Lennox to give him a suspicious look.
"Why?"
"You were talking in your sleep. You called for your mother. Told her to wait for you."
He watched Lennox's demeanor change instantly at the mention of her mother. He knew enough about a person's body language to know that she was now on her guard, and he could see the walls going up in her mind. But he also recognised that it wasn't the first time he'd seen this reaction from Lennox. She had the same one after realising she'd had a vision, just after Sasha died.
"You saw something, didn't you? What was it?" He pushed.
She thought about the memory, going over it in her mind.
"I saw her. I was walking through the forest. It was dark, sort of, the light was fading. I think I was a little girl. I heard her laughing, she was way ahead of me and there was a clearing. She called for me to catch up, so I ran after her, and when I got to the clearing it was light, like all the darkness had gone and I was standing at the edge of an open field. There was a sunset, a field, full of flowers in full bloom, and she was running through them all. She seemed so familiar with the field, like she'd been there before. The manor was behind her, about half a mile into the field, it was covered in roses."
"The same house as this one?"
"Yeah."
"How is that possible? I thought you found it a couple years back, you hadn't been there before right?"
"Actually I don't think that's true. Not now anyway."
