"Then I'm coming with you."

"No, she said I have to go alone. I can't risk anything happening to you, I can't risk surviving and you being dead Jay, I won't."

"Lennox you can't do this,"

"I have to, I have to try. If I can figure it out I can save everyone,"

"But what if you don't?" Jay was suddenly on his knees in front of Lennox, holding her hand tightly. "What if it doesn't work? Because you can't promise me this will work, what if you run out of time?"

"Jay I don't know,"

"I do! If this is serious, if you don't solve this...Lennox I can't lose you. I don't want to, I can't let you die."

"That's exactly why I have to go! And I'm scared Jay."

She held his wrist as he placed his hand on her cheek, wiping away the tear on her skin and watching her shake her head.

"I just want it to be over. If I can make that happen then I have to try."

"No,"

"I don't want to go, I don't."

"Then don't, Lennox look at me, don't go. Please."

Jay had never begged. Not for anything. But he would plead until he was red in the face to try and convince her not to go. Lennox could feel the pain in his eyes in her soul, so much so that she hadn't even noticed how earth-splitting the pain in her head was. She managed to force a smile.

"I want to stay. Jay I want to stay with you. But I have to try and stop this. You won't be safe if I don't, I have to go."

She closed her eyes as Jay leant his forehead against hers.

"Don't make me do this."

"Jay,"

"Don't make me let you go."
